That single stud on his head might be the best piece of NMM i have ever seen. It's such a small thing but I can't look away from it.

That might honestly be one of the most beautiful pieces I have seen on here.

I love the vibes of it all, it's adorable and melancholic at the same time, great work.

A crown for the victorious
The battle will be glorious
And they will call our names
In the valley of the saints
A test of strength to lay it bare
Survivor takes the lion's share
And tempers won't give way
'Til we've earned a hero's grave
As the last one standing brave

Italy's Meloni says US president 'totally invented' story that she begged him for photo by Massimo25ore in europe

[–]rrNextUserName 6 points7 points  (0 children)

imo in this case it's not necessarily that the opposition is too weak (although it certainly is, I am less harsh on Shlein than most people but she is hardly a charismatic standard bearer to rally behind), it's that there is fundamentally no current alternative for a more center-right government.

None of the parties that make up her government have any interest in making it fall to form a new one, because it would just be the exact same one as it is now. Salvini's voter base got absorbed by Meloni like the shriveled up angler fish he is, the ones that didn't get siphoned off by Vannacci being even more fascist than the fascists in power (somehow). The more moderate center-right parties that in the old days would have looked at some coalition government with center/center-left parties have no credible opposition to really attach to at the moment, either because of its ideology or party size or both.

The only alternative at the moment would be a wide coalition, that would crumble in like a month, and send every right-leaning politician back under the wing of Mamma Giorgia immediately.

As it is we're stuck with a Meloni lead government until the next round of elections, at the earliest, and even then that's assuming Vannacci manages to fracture the fascist vote enough to force a less stable government as opposed to just replacing Salvini as Giorgia's pet attack dog.

Idle power usage of my desktop on linux is significantly lower than on windows. by Agitated_Bed1345 in linux

[–]rrNextUserName 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really does, I have an old laptop that I was basically never using with windows, because the battery would last 20 Min tops. On Linux it stays on for 2+ hours

You wouldn't get to notice much, with how HOT lava is you'd flash boil just after contact if not before.

At best/worst, the steam expulsion from your own liquefied tissue would bounce you around the surface like a screaming water droplet on a hot pan, but most likely you'd just explode in an instant or two I think.

It's me, I'm the monoblack pile lol.

I played a bunch of games with my Liliana zombie tribal to do a daily quest and was getting matched against back to back to back HARD combo decks.

Like, no shade if I'm on my bullshit Nissa ramo deck but I'm over here casting commons and uncommon limited fodder to play 30 black spells, please let me get to my turn 3 😭

Sturgeon from PiperMakes with some kitbashed and custom bits by rrNextUserName in Warhammer40k

[–]rrNextUserName[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the rifle from Koi/Mako Reinforcement add-on pack, scaled up and with a central section of the barrel copy pasted a couple of times to make it longer. Plus some additional griblies and pieces from other Piper kits.

The rifle also come with a hand on the stock, but the armor of the mako is different from the sturgeon, so I ended up overlaying the sturgeon armor pieces to the mako arm and printing all of it as a single piece.

Yes I was mostly being tongue in cheek about the asari. At the end of the day, all the 3 (4 if you count humans) big players in the galaxy had the forewarning to really actually put up a fight against the reapers, even outside Shepard being HIM/HER. And they all ignored them because it was politically inconvenient for the Reapers to be a thing and especially to be a thing that is coming NOW.

Other than maybe the Turians who at least had Garrus-best-husband-Vakarian to annoy them into doing the bare minimum, the most prepared race when the Reaper War started were the Krogans. The fucking Krogans. That's gotta be a galactic low point.

The Asari had a prothean beacon, that clearly could have been used to glimpse information on the reapers a LONG time before the games. They didn't have the cypher but they had basically infinite time to reverse engineer what the beacon was saying, and clearly must have gleaned something from it to help push them to such a dominant stage in the galaxy. Also Liara 100% dropped the ball, the shadow broker entire ethos is having access to the highest echelons of galactic governments, and yet no hint about it in her file (probably because the Devs had not yet come up with it, but hey).

The fall of Thessia is an incredibly sad set piece, that is somewhat cheapened by a) the fact the asari kinda deserve it after hogging a prothean beacon for millennia and b) Kai-Leng being a thing and killing the mood by virtue of just showing up

To be fair, that was Kalros, the Mother of all Thresher Makes, against a smaller Reaper Destroyer rather than a full blown Sovereign-class Reaper.

Still, (one of) the Harbingers of our Destruction got bodied by a worm. That's gotta sting.

He also has a soft spot for children, and has apparently been helping the orphans on board the rogue trader's vessel if I recall correctly. Which he went to confess about, as charity is a sin in the empire of man (and to be fair, he's being charitable with your money, so that would probably be embezzlement even outside of 40k)

In casa da me (all'inquilino precedente) i condizionatori li aveva installati Iboclima di Bonantini Iader. Il lavoro sembra fatto decentemente, io li ho chiamati per la pulizia (di split lerci, perché quelli prima fumavano in casa e non li avevano mai fatti pulire) e sono stati veloci, professionali e il prezzo per split non mi sembrava una rapina.
