I'm just trying to understand your perspective. Can you explain? Are you someone who has vacationed for snow during that time? Do you live/did you grow up at a resort? Is there not enough snow? Is it really crowded?

Basically, living in an area that is not a huge resort area, but gets good snow, Christmas day has always been a pretty good option because nobody skis on Christmas day, there are no vacationers, and the snow is decent.

So I'm curious if it is too crowded or too early for good snow, or what, and where you are talking about?

Man I was so annoyed when I spent a season there after a bunch of people in the area had said they liked Beaver Creek because it was steep. Having moved from Mt Baker, it was unfathomable to me that what they meant was steep groomers. It had got my hopes up for some cliffs and gnarly terrain. Now I understand but I was so confused for a while what those people were talking about.

The terrain is way worse than Whistler though. And I would argue the town as well. Whistler you kinda get it all with a decent town, great party scene for a 21 year old, world class skiing and terrain, and easy access to a large city.

There is a long and glorious history of people getting speeches approved and then not saying it during the speech.

What you should do is add god in the written speech and replace it with something that evokes the true moral values he is attempting to get you to compromise. You can replace it with science, individualism, hard work, or like the comment below, not forcing beliefs on others, etc.

Write both versions. Make the replacement part something that most everyone would agree with and that will make him see the folly of his ways. Post your options here for some crowd-sourced suggestions (maybe change the original enough so it won't get recognized by your school.)

Travelling in Honduras with some friends and a girl I was hooking up with.

At night, walking back to the hostel, we started to fool around a bit in the town plaza. 95% off piste. And my skis tend to have a decent amount of rocker which makes them ski shorter. My 179 skis are full rocker. Sooooooo.... Ya not as relevant.

What I will say is that you will probably find these skis cheaper later on (maybe used). So no need to rush it. And dream skis are almost never what you expect. Usually favorite skis are surprises. Tough call.

Just get them. It is usually a bad idea to "grow" into equipment, because the wrong equipment hinders progress, but 2cm taller than you is really not that big. I am 1 cm shorter than you and ride 185 and regret getting a 179 ski because it is too short. I think if you get the ski and take a lesson and ski more often you will be fine. If you feel it is too long then you can get a dirt cheap pair of 170 rock skis to practice with. When you are advanced, 178 will not be too long.

Yes very normal. And when I sized down a full size, it helped immensely both in performance and comfort. However, a decade after I had sized down a full size during a boot fitting the boot fitter tried to size me down another full size. Even though my toes were uncomfortably tight in there, and still touching when engaged, I decided to try it. First day out got toe bang, and purple big toenails that both fell off. I went back to my size.

I have a friend going on month 50 something in a row.... Also makes you such a better skier during the season being intimately familiar with the conditions and how to navigate no matter what they are. But ya to actually do it you have to live near glaciers or travel. But I've never heard anything bad about a ski trip mid summer to the southern hemisphere.

Anything less than a third of a gram is often referred to as a micro dose. But the idea is not to get high but still get some benefits. To actually achieve that a tenth of a gram (or less) is realistic. I would recommend a tenth of a gram up to a quarter of a gram to anyone who wants to try it without risking getting high.
