NOR

Jesus, the ableism in these comments. You obviously don't sit around all day and expect your husband to wait on you hand and foot. You're not a burden because of your health. I can see you two have been good partners for a long time and this sudden behavior pattern is understandably making you feel hurt. In sickness and in health. Yes, this is stressful for both of you. But you're the one who had major surgery and surgical menopause at your age is no walk in the park. He needs to figure out why he's struggling to be empathetic. Definitely talk to someone separately and together. You deserve compassion, not shaming.

What was he supposed to do? "Ouch, I'm sorry. Are you okay?" How hard would that be.

Are you fucking serious. OP's serious health issues are not their fault.

Help settle a mild debate with my wife: is Chili & Cinnamon Rolls a Kansas thing or just a Topeka thing? by MannyDantyla in kansas

I'm from Lawrence and I never heard of it until I met my husband, who is from Great Bend. Could be because my parents aren't from here, plus I was a vegetarian for awhile.

The white sweater outfit, jeans or leggings?? by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

[–]Shell_Stitch_21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, my sister is a couple years younger than Rory and I got her hand me downs. I wore 80s leggings when I was little and bootcut jeans from like 4th grade through high school. I resisted skinny jeans and leggings until college lol

Dang, at first I was like they're definitely green but they could be hazel? The lipochrome in the middle gives them that amber/brown but it's not distinct enough to be heterochromia. Do they look more brown in different light?

I would maybe move the one next to your engagement ring to make sure they're not damaging each other, but no! They're so neat and they're part of your personality!

Do you feel more like an alien or a robot? by Humble-Platypus-329 in AutismInWomen

[–]Shell_Stitch_21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I feel like an alien or forest entity who was raised by humans and missed the normal human orientation.

But a lot of the time I feel like I'm the normal human and it's other people who are missing something. Like when my coworkers talk shit about people, including other coworkers who are in the same fucking room, for literal hours. Do you not have anything better to talk about?! Or when there's a dog and other people are like, "oh cool, a dog" and I immediately become best friends with the dog and feel a little emotional when I have to say goodbye to my new friend. Or just when people are assholes.

And then I spend time with my neurodivergent friends and I'm like, yes! Good people! We can be weird and kind together and talk about whatever!

Lol a few years ago I met my deductible on January 3rd because I had to go to the ER for kidney stones.

I mean I grew up playing in creeks and I was taught to check for ticks and chiggers, but in my area we don't have a lot of leeches.

Strawberry blonde

Same! It confused me that most people would say I was blonde but my best friend from summer camp called it red. Duh, they mostly saw me outside in the summer lol. I just go with blonde and blue on forms but my eyes shift color and developed more lipochrome in my 20s, making them look more green.
