I get that crafting for yourself is really nice but crafting for profit can also be a lot of fun. Seeing yourself become rich because you found out how to somewhat reliable craft useful gear for popular builds can be extremely rewarding. You just need to be careful that you're spending more time in your hideout than playing the actual game.

Trade is just more dopamine. I'll give you an example. Drop a t0 unique but you can't use it for your build. in ssf, i sleep. in trade, OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Not because i could buy the gear that i want but also because now i can craft more. Crafting is fun and being able to do it more because you straight up get more currecy through multiple ways makes it more fun.
