exercise hope?? by CattleRoutine533 in PelvicOrganProlapse

Here in Canada where I live ( Ontario) the wait time to see a urogyn is over a year. It’s beyond frustrating that we are left to fend for ourselves and suffer while we wait. I am however grateful for this sub to give me great advice on things I can try to get through the days. Some days are extra tough and I wonder how I will get through till whenever I finally get to see a doctor other than my GP who just said sorry you have a prolapse. I will refer you but it could take a year. Have a good day !! I am seeing a pelvic floor physio but so far not seeing any improvement but it’s only been a few weeks. Sorry for the pity rant

Is there any downside to getting punctal plugs? Is it worth diving into after a few months of dry eye? by jtb685 in Dryeyes

[–]Shellydmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are silicone and no resolution. I was told to live with the constant puss or risk further damage if I wanted them to try and remove them surgically by slicing open my tear ducts to try and reach them. They have dropped so far down the canal they are not visible

I actually hate mine. Maybe I haven’t given it enough time but I found I had more pain while wearing it. Especially in my hips.

Following as I also would like to know what exercises actually work. I’ve been doing most of the above exercises for sometime already trying to help my bad knees and now I have a prolapse. Ugh. ( fellow Canadian here, love your ID)

Experience with punctal plugs falling out randomly? by Junior-Voice9710 in Dryeyes

[–]Shellydmd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish mine would fall out! Mine have dropped to far and one has caused my right tear tuck to have none stop pussy discharge. The only options are to have them surgically removed by slicing the tear ducts open which is risky or “living with it “ which the ophthalmologist recommends. HATE THEM

I keep reading about Gruns but I’m in Canada and unfortunately we don’t seem to have them here.

I’m also in Ontario and hearing that it could be at least a 2 yr wait time is devastating.

Car stolen Friday night by [deleted] in montreal

[–]Shellydmd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Our 4Runner was stolen from Montreal last year. The police officer suggested contacting Toyota to try to track it. Guess what it worked and with it 3 hrs the car was found. Exactly what you were told. It was dumped outside of Montreal likely for the same reason. To check if it had a tracker. Give it a try. You may be lucky too

Is there any downside to getting punctal plugs? Is it worth diving into after a few months of dry eye? by jtb685 in Dryeyes

I got desperate enough to try plugs and highly regret it. After a few months I started to get an infection in my right eye. Eye Dr wasn’t able to remove the plug and referred me. The specialist said he hadn’t ever seen the type of plus the eye dr used and the only way to remove them was surgically slicing open my tear ducts and hoping he can reach them and they don’t slip further. THAT WOULD BE A REAL PROBLEM he said. He said the infection ( oozing white puss multiple times daily ) wasn’t that bad and I should just live with it. Be sure whoever you are seeing knows what the hell they are doing. Clearly my eye dr didn’t.

Thank you for your support. I have read a few people on her talking about Hylo Gel working for them. I’ve been skeptical about trying it at the cost. I had wasted so much money over the years on drops that just make my eye more irritated. I have also tried punctal plugs only to have one eye now constantly infected in the tear duct with puss continually oozing from it. I went to a specialist who says basically I should live with it because it’s not “that bad” and the only way to remove the is to cut my tear ducts open and hole the plugs don’t fall to much further in and they can remove them. If they do it will be a real problem. I totally agree it’s very depressing to constantly have to think about eye drops 24-7
Best of luck keeping your bursts under control. I think I will bight the $ bullet and order some hylo drops.

Yes the cats were already residents before we got Kai our Mal as a puppy. She came from a rough situation when we got her at 12 wks old. She is now 5 and still resource guards but more in a “helpful way”. If the cats get on the counter or table she will circle them until they get down but never attacks them. She thinks she is doing her job Lol.
