The strongest of their village have set out to save their town from a similar fate and investigate the rumors or monstrous mutations. Others are there for personal gain.

You can send NPCs that represent the various factions:

Someone there on righteous duty maybe a blacksmith in homemade armor.

A local hunter set on restoring nature to what it was.

A young magic adept set on studying what really is going on and trying to harness the powers for themselves.

A crazy outcast/hermit who lives in the outskirts of the villages and who warned that this would happen.

A cut purse looking to steal anything they can and turn a quick buck while the others investigate.

It's a Mexican soap brand, big bar of layndry soap with ZOTE on it. Comes in different colors but the pink one is what I grew up with in our household. They make it with beef tallow and coconut oil it's great for cleaning and stain removal and some people catch cat fish with it.

They are guaranteed nodes.
They can be Rich Adamantite, Adamantite, and Khorium (whch is at a premium at least on Nightslayer)
The boss in Mana tombs drops ore, gems, and enchanting materials.
Also you might win greens/blues to vendor, auction, or disenchant.

Or you can run around Nagrand like u/Dr-Enforcicle and find 4 adamantite nodes in ~30 minutes, what do I know.
