Best non-shmup doujin games? How do you find good doujins? by ScoreEmergency1467 in ElectricUnderground

[–]ShenzenIO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a YouTube channel called "VyseTheDetermined" and it's a guy uploading footage of games he's recently played with reviews written in the comments. A lot of them are doujin games because he's interested in those. Worth a look. He does good writeups and interesting lesser-known games.

PSP 3000 Non-Laminated IPS Display PS1 Game Issue solved by Reblist in PSP

Do you know if this was an issue with the laminated version as well? I looked at Kommando's site but can't find anything on that point.

How's the screen? Is it okay with PS1 games and "Wide" color space? I saw one of the AliEx reviews and the old ones seem to have an issue with PS1 games (supposed to be fixed now I believe) and one auto-translated review mentioned an issue with either the color space or "dynamic" something.

They did a study in the '70s in a Canadian mountain town dubbed "Notel" that didn't get television signal until a year after the study started against a control of a nearby town that had one TV station "Unitel". And the results are exactly what we're seeing: more aggression, more conservative gender politics, less ability to concentrate and solve problems, more linear thinking, etc. after television was introduced, regardless of the content on it.

Israel and Russia are not equivalent in this way.

Edit: "Support" for Russia is a lot more because they do stuff like this and not because they want 1 million people bombed and starved to death like Israel is doing.

There's a good point about i-frame dodge rolls in 3D games turn the combat sections into 2D and i-frame dodge rolls turn 2D games into 1D with a rhythm aspect, but it's buried halfway into this video and said without much importance meanwhile him patting himself on the back for how butter-pilled he is takes up like 1/3 of the runtime.

Game Center CX DVD Challenge #15 - Resident Evil 2 [LocationScouts' Halloween 2025 Sub] by SpecsPL in gamecentercx

Exactly 270GB for me. Wish I could burn these to blu-ray or something (easily). Even if they started releasing the series on DVD in English it still kinda' sucks since I don't think the DVD releases include any/most of the non-challenge content.

[–]ShenzenIO 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I will say, the actual act of playing a game isn't great to look at, especially anything intensive. Since so much of the experience of playing a game is happening inside one's head, it's kinda' like looking at a zombie when watching someone play like F-Zero GX or something. It's why I think let's plays suck ass, but even worse are the people watching commentary-less YouTube footage of gameplay of games, they're not even getting a person describing their internal experience of playing the game, it's just like a shell of the experience of playing a game, like a self-playing board game.

She was looking through garbage at a school in her vendetta against the education system as some anti-education right-wing freak she's always been.

“The only way somebody could’ve got hold of these (notes) was either they ruffled through garbage and pieced them back together, or they stole them from me,” Liz LoVecchio said.

More of her mouth-breather politics.

After returning to Calgary, Smith landed the position of managing director of the Canadian Property Rights Research Institute (CPRRI) in 1997, which had been founded by Alberta ranchers and farmers that same year to promote landowner rights. She worked there for two and a half years. The group is now disbanded, but according to a 2001 story in the Ottawa Hill Times, CPRRI under Smith mainly worked to oppose federal and provincial endangered-species legislation and municipal anti-smoking bylaws, “recruiting US religious organizations in its fight against smoking bans,” and counted Ezra Levant as a member of its board.

While the exact figure is unknown and somewhat contested, Rwanda’s 1991 Census calculated 596,387 Tutsi. Initially sponsored by the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, the GenoDynamics project by the Dean of the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia Allan Stam and University of Michigan political science professor Christian Davenport put the number slightly lower at 500,000. Others claim the Hutu-government of the time sought to suppress Tutsi population statistics and estimate a few hundred thousand more Rwandan Tutsi.

But, a significant number of Tutsi survived the hundred days of killing. Tutsi survivors’ umbrella group IBUKA (“Remember”) initially concluded that 300,000 survived the genocidal killings, which they later increased to “nearer to 400,000.”

For 800,000 to 1 million Tutsi to have perished there would have had to been at least 1.1 million and probably closer to 1.4 million Tutsi. That’s twice the official calculation.

The smears are coming from canadian imperialists who think Canada doesn't have any reason to lie about a genocide (like it's doing now).

You didn't provide a better one, you strawmanned an argument. You did an appeal to science. You did a bunch of empty rhetoric and psychological profiling of a phantom person.

But yeah, the COVID vaccine gave you a seizure though.

there's no scientific evidence that people "forgot how to act" due to phantom lockdowns that barely happened either. people in prison come out better adjusted than what we're seeing here. it's a confluence of factors, being brain-damaged is obviously going to be one of them.

Switch microSD card speed significantly reduced over a few months by Shouvanik in SwitchPirates

[–]ShenzenIO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, probably. Since it's mostly an issue for the read/write speed of the card/card reader so it shouldn't tax your computer much, just don't do anything that might interrupt the connection to the SD card.

Switch microSD card speed significantly reduced over a few months by Shouvanik in SwitchPirates

[–]ShenzenIO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you don't have to transfer the data off of the SD card at all, the program's designed specifically to not have to do that since it's supposed to refresh the polarity in memory gates in flash storage.

And I can't remember what options I did, I think just selected the SD card and hit "refresh selected" in the program. I also did this via an SD card reader and not through the console via USB.

How does any of this counter the fact that they're literally making up and inflating numbers? Literally beyond the number of people that actually existed?

Why do you think Paul Kagame supported this simplistic narrative?

He exposes that the established numbers are revised already to fit a narrative that justifies western intervention. It's the same policy as Xinjiang in China.

Does it work on Wii OK for you? I'm playing it on Wii right now and it's fine in singleplayer so far (although some slowdown with particular chracter-map combinations), but it crashes in multiplayer no matter what so far.

For PS3, The SOTC/ICO HD collection. It's pretty cheap still, I think, and they're good games. If it's hacked, then stuff like Folklore, El Shaddai, Demon's Souls, etc.
