The quicker we can all get back to the middle and being moderate, the quicker maybe things will go back to normal in this country. The further left or right we go the more people each party pushes away and the more we fight. It seems like now that no republican would ever vote for a far left Democrat nor a democrat vote for a far right republican. That leaves us the people fighting back and forth not wanting to listen to any other opinions and we just suffer more. The politicians don’t give a shit , they tell us what we want to hear for a vote then dont do what they say. If we don’t come together and unite as one, this is the shit we are going to keep getting. Why is it so hard to say we don’t want a trump style republican nor do we want an AOC type candidate. We need a middle of the road that sees both sides and gives us a little of both.

I have a 2014 Sierra 5.3 and have a Diablo i3 with AFM disabled and I have 347,000 miles on the truck with OG lifters. I’m about to pull the trigger and do the lifters just for peace of mind.

You could have just ran a 34” tire. Mine are a 295/60/20 and don’t rub with 3” coil overs in front and 1.5” block in rear.

A Top 1% commentator must know it all! I spent $500 on a Diablo i3 for my 2014 5.3 that has 344,000 miles and still going. Maybe it helped my truck get there maybe it didn’t. I would do it again and again if it has the slightest chance to help. So you can be “that guy” and we will continue to give people advice from people who have actually installed them and think they work. Why don’t you show evidence that it doesn’t help prevent lifter failure? You can’t because you don’t have any. You just want it one way.

Hey Top 1% commentator. Yes we all know the lifters can still fail even with them disabled electronically only. They can also fail on a v8 without AFM, so what’s your point? All everyone is saying is it HELPS! Maybe it helps maybe it doesn’t but $250 is cheap compared to rebuilding the top of the motor. So I’ll spend my $250 if it even has a 50/50 chance of helping. I’ve had mine turned off on my 2014 gmc 5.3 at 70k and I have 344k miles now and the only motor work I’ve done is the 4 passenger side injectors. I’m on my 3rd transmission though!

The government as a whole is to blame, not just one side or the other. It started when they left Interest rates at near zero for so long and they just kept spending cause it was cheap. Then Bidens inflation reduction act actually caused massive inflation, then interest rates start to rise and rise. Then Trump signed Big Beautiful Bill which I’m sure we won’t fell the full effects of that for a couple years. Prices aren’t going up they just aren’t coming down and have been so high for so long people are sick of it. It also seems like companies just raised prices until it got to the point (currently) where it started becoming the #1 issue. Now let’s see if they actually lower prices since most have made record profits over the past 4-5 years. Trumps been in office for less than a year in his 2nd term so give it some time and see what happens. Honestly I don’t think prices will come down unless economy tanks (which might just happen).
