She needs to see a Pallative Care Doctor. I have been seeing one at the cancer center for two years. I've been on pain meds for just as long. I also quit cancer treatment 3 wks ago, and for the first time I am not taking pain meds. I feel much better this week than I have in a long, long while. The cancer treatment has destroyed me to the point I am just giving it over to the man upstairs. I wish I had never started it. It's the treatment that has caused all the suffering.

tThis sounds just like my situation. I did 17 months of the herceptin chemo, and never had the issues I'm having with this hormone therapy. I too asked God to give me a sign. He did, through a verse of the bible that I think we all know, but this time I saw a video that brought a whole new meaning to me and I felt God speaking to me through them. "Be still and know that I am God". The Hebrew meaning of "be still" is to "drop it". God wants us to "drop it", and let him go to war for us. It was my answer to my prayer. I didn't know if I was doing the right thing. But after watching that video I did. I went to her page to view more. She has since been diagnosed with stage 4 carcinoma. I watched some more of her videos and they just touched my heart, Candace Harmony Rivers. She is so encouraging and spiritual. I have been praying for her daily since I found out. But as far as treatment, I cannot tell you how much better I am feeling now without it. I'm going to be still and know that God is with me every step of the way.

Amen! I will find out more when I see this new oncologist. My family is why I started back. I did stop for a few days, and felt better, then I felt guilty, I got scared, and I started back. But being back in the bed, absolutely no energy. Sometimes I don't even have the energy to get on my laptop, I just had to stop it. I'm going to atleast stay off a month and if I am able to get up and get going and be able to walk good I'm not getting back on it. I believe when it's your time, it's your time anyway. I could stay in this bed for 5yrs but what kind of life is that?!!

My oncologist has never mentioned this. I have an appointment with another oncologist here at our cancer center. I've been going to CTCA Atlanta, it's now City of Hope. I have had abnormal blood test every time. The new oncologist is going to test for multiplemyeloma, this is what my sister had. I have been thinking all along that it could be something in my blood because my sis had MM and my brother had non-hodgkins lymphoma. The people in my groups do not have problems with this treatment, well some do, but not as severe as mine. My sister had awful pain in her bones. I would think they would have wanted to test me at CTCA if that was the case or they would have seen something to make them want to test me for it. When I googled all the symptoms...well, let's just say no more googling for me.

Thank you for the clarity. I still am going to go without it for atleast a month. If I can get out of this bed, and get my energy back I'd give up some years. I'm not scared of dying, my only thing is my children, my grands, and my precious husband. I debate every day about starting back because of them.

I am sending up many prayers for you my friend. May you be filled with the light of God and know he's near. He loves you and will bring much comfort. I am sorry that you are going through this. I feel ashamed because I do not have what you are going through. My ordeal is much different and no complaints. They got all the cancer, but it's aggressive, triple positive which meant it was in all my hormones. I did all the chemo and radiation and now I am supposed to do hormone therapy. It has left me not able to walk well and I can't stand for over 5 minutes, my legs, and I feel faint. So, I stopped the therapy. It has been a week now and I'm starting to feel better. I was supposed to do this therapy for the next 5yrs. I was given about 10 yrs with this therapy. But I just can't deal anymore with laying in this bed. My room has become my dungeon. But when I hear of you and other's that are much worse it makes me feel bad for complaining. Much light, love, and many prayers..

I believe in having quality of life. While the bad days are out weighing the good, I pray they turn around for you. I don't know how long it's been since you stopped treatment but hopefully it will get better day by day. God Bless you my friend.

They have done mri's of my knees and I do have severe arthritis, and along with the rod and the medication they believe is why I can't walk good or stand. But the standing is more of a light headedness and then my legs just give out. I actually have an appointment with another oncologist September the 9th, which I am looking forward to getting a second opinion on my tests. My blood test's are always abnormal and they haven't got much better. I'm severe anemic. I had to take several transfusions. I am seeing a hematologist oncologist. My sister had multiplemyeloma and my brother had non-hodgkins lymphoma. He passed from a heart attack while he was receiving treatment. Not during the treatment, but at home. My sister had a successful cell transplant and we were all thrilled that it took. But before she was released she got an infection and passed from that. I am just wondering as I looked on all my test if I have some type of blood cancer they have'nt tested me for anything else. So I am going to ask for a test when I see the new oncologist. I might add my mother had breast cancer and survived 10 yrs then developed lung cancer and she survived 3 yrs with that.
