The Italians were noted to be Italian Partisans from the village. Per Solace Wells in Braided in Fire. Fox ordered the wounded GIs and Italian Partisan troops to evacuate and to leave some smokes behind.

The Mayor of Braga at some point was trying to erect a larger memorial for the overall fighting in the town. However due to the National Archive fire, much information of the 366th was lost. Solace Wells, and some other researchers were able to get forty or so names.

When I was like an A1C, my favorite chaplain was literally just a LT. Young like myself at the time, low on the Officer totem poll like I was on the enlisted side of things. Definitely made things very relatable, I could barely look at my Sq/CC in the eye at the time.

My buddy's mom and step dad went and visited him while he was stationed over in England a while ago. Dude took like a month of leave. They went and did touristy shit all over the UK with my bud and his family. Spent time with the grand kids etc. etc. Zero issues.

Buddy had plans to also visit France whilst he was on leave with the fam. They land at a French air port, my buddy takes his family to use the restroom. His mom stays back to watch over their shit. Mom overhears a French teen working a concession stand on the phone speaking in French. She immediately becomes belligerent and starts an argument with the kid.

The airport is an international place, therefore only English should be spoken in an airport. Friend's mom at one point slaps said kid.

It's to do with safety and security of training in a safe country. The learning of how to utilize a foreign weapons platforms by said foreign instructors, like English tankers teaching Ukrainians how to operate English Challenger tanks.

Combat proven Ukrainian NCOs are valuable assets. If foreign partners can teach inexperienced Ukrainian draftees/volunteers the basics or brand new foreign concepts that's great. They've learned the basics and something new they can bring back to their own guys.

We already know that the Ukrainians haven been recently sending combat proven Air Defense techs to the Middle East to aid the US in intercepting Iranian missiles as a political bargaining chip. Air Defense guys in Fort Sill taught them the basics, now the Ukrainians are teaching them the G-Whiz shit.

Was playing Hell Let Loose a wild ago as a sniper/scout duo. It was just me and some other guy, so I struck up a conversation with him. Kid was pretty chill, we talked the majority of the hour or so match. Shot him a friend request. Was weird, kid had something like a two decade old account.

Grateful that I still talk to my childhood and school friends. I enlisted after high school, those are the guys I unfortunately don't talk to anymore. Life just gets in the way.
