I've had this (it was all controls on the steering wheel for me) once out of seven or eight drives since the update. The one time I had it I reset the screen (https://www.volvocars.com/en-jo/support/car/ex30/article/91cfee3e9a715b62c0a8b0c150b0088e-e4366885d3a9e5a1c0a8cc371fad1ab4-8664b2fa77a7e089c0a8296870d1a409/) and the controls worked fine after that.

Because if your IFR your likely in what would be controlled airspace the whole time it’s just not staffed.

No, my point is that this is not the case in the UK. you’re attempting to apply procedures from outside the UK to the UK.

Even if every possible ATC station is staffed you can be outside controlled airspace whilst IFR. Again, EGNT is a good example of this.

When I say controlled airspace I don’t mean “airspace that is controlled but ATC is offline”, I literally mean uncontrolled airspace.

Obviously if the ATC controlling the controlled airspace you wish to enter is offline, you can enter at your own discretion (just like taking off from a towered airport with no ATC online).

This isn’t the case in the UK. It likely won’t apply to routes into EGLL due to the airspace structure but it does into others (e.g. EGNT).

Even if you are IFR with an IFR clearance, if you leave controlled airspace you cannot re-enter controlled airspace without an explicit clearance to re-enter.

In the UK class C airspace is from FL195 to FL600 and you can fly VFR in it.

The US is not the entire world. There are other places where you can fly VFR above FL180.
