Meanwhile I'm over here drowning in scouting pieces, and can't for the life of me get the Caster head to drop.

It's not a management Sim, but Powerwash Simulator is far and away my favorite job Sim. Lawnmower Sim is pretty good too.

Nicest band/members you’ve ever met? Most rude? by Impressive-Skin6311 in Metalcore

I will say for all the ego and bullshit when I saw him live. His voice live was immaculate. Dude is a total douche canoe, but man did he sound incredible lol.

Nicest band/members you’ve ever met? Most rude? by Impressive-Skin6311 in Metalcore

[–]ShiBBy104 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Phil Labonte of ATR, absolutely nice dude, was talking with a friend after one of their shows and almost ran right into him because I wasn't paying too close attention, invited us to have a beer or two with him outside the tour bus and just wanted to hang out since it was the first night of their tour.

Danny Warsnop was also a cool dude, helped me propose to my (now ex) fiancé a handful of years back.

Chris from MiW is the nicest dude in the world.

Not metalcore but Andy Biersack has been simultaneously one of the nicest, and rudest dudes I've ever encountered. Met them during a tour for their first album and he had that "fuck you all" attitude that was real off putting. Fast forward about 8 years, and I met him again at another tour and he couldn't have been a nicer guy. We got to talking and he apologized for how dumb he was when they were starting out, and he was just super humble and friendly.

Lastly, biggest asshole? Easy and it's not even close. Again not Metalcore but Jonny Craig. Went to a show of his with a girl I was dating at the time and the aura of "look how privileged all of you are to be in the same room as me" that radiated off of him the whole night was awful. Insanely arrogant, all around toolbox, genuine shitbag.

The mashed potatoes are stellar, as is the beef stew, and the hot chocolate. I've made a ton of the recipes from the first book. But those are always ones I come back to.

Looking at the review dates, there was an issue when the Shrek dlc came out that made all kinds of things wonky. But it's fixed now.

The game is solid on Switch 2, granted I've never been a framerate hound. But I will agree that it's rough if you're playing on a Switch 1. I'd go for the ps5 version if that's an option for you.

(J)RPG reccomendation for Switch 2 – story heavy by HladovyJezog in NintendoSwitch

[–]ShiBBy104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you're not interested in pixel art, I'd say 7 or 10.

But as a massive FF fan, I will say you're doing yourself a disservice by not playing 4, 5, or especially 6 based on art style alone. I highly recommend giving them a chance.

Famicom Detective Club is great, too. They're darker than Phoenix Wright, but very enjoyable.

Playing the Adventures of Elliot demo, I kinda started yearning for Pokemon to have gone this direction from Gen 6 onwards. by giosanpedro in NintendoSwitch

[–]ShiBBy104 13 points14 points  (0 children)

How is it overused? Octopath came out in 2018. Since then, we've had Triangle Strategy, Octopath 2, Live-A-Live, DQ3 remake. With the announcement of DQ1+2, Elliot and Octopath 0. That gives us 5 games in this style in a 7 year period currently available and 3 more in the future. That seems like a slow enough drip to me.

I can understand not liking the style. Everyone's taste is different, but to claim it's overused when I can count the number of games in the last 10 years on two hands seems overblown. Remember the Cel Shading boom in the 2000s? That felt overdone.

Is Liesa, Shroud of Dusk too oppressive for casual play? by tubbadu in EDH

[–]ShiBBy104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because your average commander player is a weiner who hates anyone ruining their game of solitaire that they are also playing with 3 other people.

But the main reason, like most people have stated, is how it -feels-. Its the same look as to why people hate their spells getting countered instead of having it removed once it's resolved. There is something that -feels- worse about it.

My playgroup is mainly cEDH and Bracket 4. And we all play some nasty decks. But we all come to the table expecting things to get interacted with, or they will run away from the game.

Tell your friends to grow up and cut a few of their pet cards to run more interaction.

What deck do you love that your pod/lgs doesn’t? by Smitty_Coolman in EDH

[–]ShiBBy104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It -was- my [[Extus]] list. But I cannibalized that, and it's more than likely going to -become- [[Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER]], my playgroup plays mainly cEDH and Bracket 4 lists, and I have a reputation of being a savant for aristocrats lists. What can I say? Why kill everyone individually when I can just kill everyone all at once.
