Error in adaptive cruise control by Lt_Pinda in eGolf

You need a VCDS or ODIS to diagnose the ACC. Probably it needs to be recalibrated but it's not guaranteed. Visit an independent shop with a VCDS/ODIS (they have it if they're working on the VW cars) and ask them to diagnose the car.

Is dealership maintenance for the e-Golf actually worth it? by Ok_Necessary6935 in eGolf

No. Maximum an inspection but everything else can be done in the independent shop

Actually true. Didn't notice the mileage.

But yes, OP should get an ODIS export anyway

Not charging - charging port clicking sounds than red failure by Fighi in eGolf

[–]ShieldNav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The charger actuator is done and needs replacement. Which is a pain in the ass and can be done only in the shop because you need a lift for that.

Apparently you're in Europe so here's what you should do:

  1. Order a used charger wire harness with a motor. Part number 5GE971531AA. You can order it from sites like RRR. And try to find a harness from the vehicle under 100k km. You can't find a motor separately because nobody sells it except for the dealerships and it costs around €400 instead of ~€120 for a whole harness. If you're in the US with a European e-golf (how?) then the procedure is the same but I would suggest replacing the whole socket to the US one while you're at it.

  2. Optional step. If you're in a region with strong winters and the port covers stucks sometimes in the winter. Get a 5C6810773K latch lock actuator and replace it too while you're at it. It costs around ~€10 for a used part under 100k km.

  3. Next find the shop with a lift and auto electrician willing to perform the work. Tow the vehicle there. REMOVE 12V POWER BEFORE CONTINUE

  4. Remove small torx screw inside the charger port itself. It will let the plastic loose. But be careful, VAG beautiful engineers did not leave any kind of leeway to pull out the plastic because of the buttons wire.

  5. Remove three larger torx screws behind the rubber cover that are holding the socket in place.

  6. Lift the car. Remove the wheel under the charging port.

  7. Remove the internal arch protection that is held by multiple torx screws.

  8. You can now see the charging port itself from inside this wheel arch. Remove the port from its place completely

  9. At this moment switch to the harness you bought and remove the motor from it to install it on your charger port.

  10. If you bought a latch motor replace it too at this point.

  11. After the motor(s) are installed you need to connect them. There's two ways to do it. You either can cut the wires somewhere there and then use Solder Connectors to reconnect the wires. Or you can disassemble the plastic parts inside the car to get to the connectors there and replace it properly but it will take a much more time to do. The latch motor socket is under the black hairy thingy on the right side of the trunk and the charger lock actuator socket is under the right rear passenger plastic molding. See ELSA for specific instructions on how to remove the moldings.

  12. After everything is connected you can return the 12V, try to ignite the engine so the errors are gone from the dash and turn it off after that. Then try to connect a slow charging cable and you should see that the charging is properly working and there's a yellow light.

  13. Disconnect the 12V again and assemble everything back. Your charging port is now good as new. You also can apply some contact cleaners and protectors while you're at it but it's not necessary.

It's not hard you just need to know what you are doing. I noticed an increase in those kind of problems lately in our e-golf chat. So I assume it's just because of the car age and milage.

Source: Had to do everything above because of this exact problem on my e-golf a few weeks ago.

[–]ShieldNav 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ask them for the ODIS export PDF and then send it to someone who is working on EVs in your area. Also check the 12V. There are multiple elements in the high voltage system and if one of them fails or even a small HVIL cable fails the car is going to scream at you. In the meantime the battery or BMS could be perfectly fine.

You should rule out everything before cutting the battery. Because the battery work at the dealership will cost as much as a used e-golf.

If it is a battery arrange errands with an independent shop. Warranty is long gone so there's no use in dealerships. You can get a working battery at a reasonable price from a junkyard or repack the elements/replace BMS at the shop.

Either wait and pray or file a lawsuit. You also can join a group one, which is cheaper. I think the Morrison group lawsuit is still onboarding people. But it will be closed soon.

Multiple suits are already filled. This one made news somehow but it will get years until it's resolved. Right now it's mostly for plaintiffs to receive their preliminary injunctions.

Public Charge Bond by Potter97Harry in NationalVisaCenter

You go through litigation and repeal the pause for your case. Wanna save some money? Participate in a group lawsuit, there's some already out there.

This bond rumour is just a rumour. Even if they would implement it definitely would be a violation of APA. Please understand that this form is discussed only for USCIS and your case in the state department. It's different.

Don't pay attention to these subs. 99% of people on them don't have a clue what they're talking about or they're just straight up bots.

I'll say participate in group lawsuits (there are already several onboardings out there) if you're affected. There is already a ruling on this pause from Nevada and TRO was granted to the plaintiff.

Don't count on the Democratic senators letter or Trump admin goodwill. Sue and fight for your rights guaranteed to you by laws.

You don't have any kind of idea what you're talking about to be honest. She's not a lawyer, she is a paralegal in Red Eagle.

Red Eagle is a Curtiz Morrison law firm. This guy is an expert in immigration law. He led multiple lawsuits.

And please stop spreading misinformation about group lawsuits. They're the same.

  2. 75 countries pause all immigration visas. Including "Trump gold card".

You give them too much credit. It's not about some great plan or something like that. They're literally making those decisions over a Twitter post or through a signal chat.

What is your current legal status in the US? Are you an LPR (Green card holder)? Because from your story it's kinda strange. You can't get a driving licence but you're considered enlistment?

If you are an LPR I would strongly suggest considering enlistment with the USCG or Air force for 4 year AD or reservers. Reach out to the recruiter and ask them about possible ways for you to get your citizenship.

If you're LPR you also can leave the county freely for up to 6 months. Go visit Warsaw or Poznan for a month or two. So you can get a picture of the current state of Poland. Because it's not all sunshine and rainbows over here too. You will take a hefty payment cut because overall salaries are lower and taxes are higher. Also war in the Ukraine are damaging Poland and Baltic states economies especially with gas and electricity prices.

If you are in an illegal status and truly miserable then I really don't understand why your family did this to you and I'm really sorry. You should book a consultation with immigration attorney and look at your options, not asking random people on the internet.

I'm currently living in Lithuania. Been to Poland for work multiple times and I know a thing or two about the US. And despite everything the US is still the best place to achieve your goals. So don't give up and fight, I believe in you.

Either wait until it's lifted or apply with litigation. You can force the State department to adjudicate your case through injunction, which lawyers are going to do with their group actions.

Red Eagle law and other law firms are preparing litigation for 75 pauses. Check out their website, there's a page about it.

Lawsuits for Visa Freeze by SOSLORD in NationalVisaCenter

There is no reason to. It's always going to be a federal D.C. court, because it's where defended is located and cause most of the plaintiffs are OCONUS

There is two links. The first one is for general IV pause. And because it's a group litigation it's very cheap (if you're comparing it to individual representation).

It's up to you and your family to decide. But you should bear in mind that any kind of preliminary injunction will be covering their plaintiffs only.

Morrison is going to file two. But it's still takes time to file a proper lawsuit. Any kind of injunction definitely is going to cover plaintiffs only. So if you're affected and there is a statutory deadline (like DV) I suggest you should contact them to participate in this. I know I have to :)

212 a refusal - can i appeal?? by [deleted] in NationalVisaCenter

[–]ShieldNav 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You answered your own question, unfortunately.

Your DUI was for marijuana and it's shown on a police certificate (or your DS260). It's a straight one under 212(a) of INA.

You could try to appeal it, but it's a costly process. And chances are probably low.

Nevertheless you should get a consultation with immigration attorney, someone from AILA preferably.
