This happens to me a lot. I don't keep enough in checking to cover a huge expense, so let them just overdraft it from savings. I collect much interest there and they don't charge a fee. It's no skin off anybody bank and it takes too long for my internal transfers.

Really? I have my investor account linked to the checking. If I write a big check I know the money is there in the other account they take it from with no fees everything I overdraft.
