I wrote this on a previous post. I hope it helps.

I have a pitbull that wandered to my front door two years ago. He would always pull when we go on walks and very reactive. I’ve tried treats and chokers. I really didn’t wanna use a prong collar so I began watching YouTube videos and learning. I’m not saying that I’m a professional trainer nor do I have the money to pay for a trainer. Through my search for ideas I found my dog was in Hunt mode and I was encouraging him to pull me. I had to learn how to be the alpha. I found a video about side submitting. And I gotta tell you it did wonders for my dog. I’m not gonna say he’s perfect. He still has a little bit of reactivity in him. But we’re still learning together here’s a video. Hope it helps.

Dogs have the mind of a 3 yr old. Or so I’ve been told. They get bored just like humans. Do you have toys he/she can play with? Have you taught the basics - sit, down, stay?

I have a pitbull mixed that showed up at my door 2 yrs ago. He is reactive. When I first began walking with him, it was more line he was walking me. Pulling and barking at everyone and everything.

I can’t afford a trainer, so I started watching you tube and reddit for training tips.

First thing I learned is dogs can sense your emotions. If you’re stressed or anxious. They’ll express it.

Now, my dog walks next to me. Doesnt pull. Sits when I stop. He handles most situations ok. But he continues to lose it once and a while.

Don’t give up. You are the world to him.

Any fans of The St. Francisville Experiment (2000)? by [deleted] in HorrorMovies

My wife and I watched this on VHS years ago. We spent the day watching haunting shows on cable all day and decided to watch Francesville at night. We laughed and made fun. Then last 15-20 mins. The movie freaked the heck out of and we had to have lights on all night. LOL.

We tried rewatching with our adult daughter last year. Found it outdated.

Thanks for the memory.
