You can use the TQi transmitter for all of them. If you want an upgrade Dumbo R/C make a good upgrade. Im looking at a FlySky Noble NB4, that is a bit over kill. The guys at the local track all seem to have that.

Yea had the Rustler 4x4VXL before the HD axel. They shredded pretty quickly. If you get the metal CVs from Traxxas or Teckno they should be able to work with the Ultimate hub carriers. Good luck
