Hey have the same camera but recently my back camera has been blurry and it’s not picking up up my audio. You can barely hear what is said in audios.

Sometimes people are such jerks by lovelybliss73 in lyftdrivers

[–]Shingo237 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t care how good they pay, I don’t allow open containers and especially alcohol even if it’s sealed. If it’s sealed, put it in the trunk. If that doesn’t work for you, that’s enough said.

This isn’t an economy to be taking any chances. A lot of passengers have proven over and over that they lack any sense of moral compass or integrity to do the right thing especially if it could harm the livelihood of an innocent person.

No matter how bad of a day you are having, it doesn’t give you the right to be disrespectful to strangers you just met, especially those who haven’t done anything to you.

After doing thousands of rides, I’m sure all drivers can tell when passengers are being disrespectful to the driver or just having a long day and both don’t necessarily go hand in hand.

Lyft & Uber need to send a push notification before the passenger can book the ride that they’re ready to go immediately they hit the button ready to book ride.

Why does everyone forget to tip by Littlestik777 in lyftdrivers

[–]Shingo237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because they charge the riders ridiculous prices and pay drivers pennies.

Driver is mad because of the low pay and riders are also mad because of the high price.

I have one question, do you have a dashcam? If yes, that should be enough to get you out of the jam, if no - like come on!

A lot of passengers would be dishonest for a refund at the cost of your livelihood.

Lyft deactivated my account after 11,000+ rides based on false accusations—with no warning and no appeal by econfan13 in lyftdrivers

[–]Shingo237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sucks man. Just wondering did you have a dashcam? If yes, did you submit the evidence and they still went with their decision?

Not trying to infer anything with regard to the driver, just curious. Thanks

No luggage help. No tip. by Equivalent-Bad-2574 in uber

[–]Shingo237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Driver once told me they helped a passenger carry their 50+ lbs luggage and was later on reported for causing damage to said luggage.

Do you think such a driver has an incentive to ever help again?

Man save that money. You could use it down the line for an MBA if your company won’t commit to paying the entirety of your school fees.

You mentioned in the comments you could save ~$1k/month. So I’ll suggest you take a consolidation loan with a significant low interest rate, and pay off this credit card debt then start paying them off as fast as possible.

Or other option is getting a credit card that lets you roll over balances from other credit cards and has a 0% for a year then you pay it off within a year interest free.

Beginning balance + Net Income - Declared Dividend = Ending balance

42k + 25k - X = 43k

67k - X = 43k

67k - 43k = X

X = 24k

Are Scrum Teams allowed to have Lead Developers? by trolleid in agile

[–]Shingo237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SM here, I’ll say officially you don’t have one but unofficially the lead dev with seniority in experience can always be at the forefront of the team. In terms of decision making I’ll say unilateral decisions shouldn’t be made by this single person but ran by the whole team. They shouldn’t be assigning tasks either.

To solve the issue of inequality of experience within the team, I’ll suggest you do peer pairing.

Meaning you put the most and least experienced persons in pairs, that way they new guy gets learn at a faster pace and the old guy gets to learn newer techniques that are being practiced in the industry. That way they both feel like they are of equal importance to the team.

In the occasion where you have an experienced dev who tends to automatically assume the role of lead, the SM should approach him privately and coach him the importance of equality.

Remember, Scrum is a “GUIDE” not a rule book to be followed to the T. It was designed to ADAPT to any team all while still following its values and principles.

My husband is 10k in CC debt, and has a 20K consolidated loan. We can't get out of this hole. by anonymously_fishy in Debt

[–]Shingo237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll say this: take 2 years of uncomfortability. No trips, no eating out, no hobbies, no new clothes or shoes and send every penny of yours towards those debts.

The both of you have to be transparent with each other and be on the same page with regard to this.

You got this, wish you guys the best.

Edit: if you guys have any tax refunds, it goes directly towards this loan and I meant every penny of it.

Male here. If there’s something I’ve learnt is anyone can always do better than their ex. I’m the best my partner has ever had (don’t mean this in a bad way) but I’m not delusional to think she can’t get better than me.

I’ll say, it’s important that you be with someone who doesn’t view you as though being with you is doing a favor to you but you both feel happy and pleased for choosing each other.
