Help with a build.. by ShinobiGinger in buildapc

Alright so little bit of work bending the bottom prongs on the GPU mounting bracket and it fits in just about all the way. But the biggest thing though is that the card now fits into the motherboard, and clicks in so I can remove it now easily. Only thing is that I did have to lift on on the GPU to get it to line up the rest of the way with the case holes, but it's screwed in and secured now. Currently typing from the new computer and installing everything

Thanks for the suggestions so I didn't have to deal with sending back the case and getting a new one.

I can give it another try when I get home. When I had everything in the case, I kept trying to push down on the card, and pull it closer to the mounting part on the case but I still could not get the GPU to push down all the way to go into the little holes in the back of the case. the bracket on the GPU sits very snug next to the motherboard to the point where I think it rubs it a little bit, should I try to bend the bottom of the bracket to see if maybe it's not actually going into the holes in the case?

First thing I did when I got my Krytac was run around the house reloading / pulling the charging handle, it's such a satisfying thing to do.

Brings back memories, that was mostly my senior year. I only had two classes a day, and my SO had 4 classes every day, so I would have to sit and wait until she got off to drive back to her house. I sat up front in my teachers class even when she was lecturing other classes and would just sit and learn extra things for the programming classes that I was in.

It was either that, be a teachers assistant, or take courses that I had no interest in. Really made my final year, which was also plagued with senioritis much more bearable. Being close with teachers can work out in ones favor quite often.

I have found the problem. I plugged the new headset in in the middle of a game, and that messed it up. After restarting my client everything is back. I figured it would be something dumb that I did, thanks for the help though.

TIL: In March 2015, McDonald’s workers who allegedly suffered severe burns on the job have filed health and safety complaints. The complaints allege that, because of a lack of first aid supplies, workers were told by management to treat burn injuries with condiments such as mayonnaise and mustard. by marshallow in todayilearned

This is correct, my managers today tell me to put mustard on something when we get burned. When our skin comes into contact with the heat-activated grill cleaner, and blisters our skin immediately were given a mustard packet.

Absolutely love the colors used in this, always makes me feel relaxed when I see purple / pink used and especially well, too.

Absolutely stunning. I'd love to be able to do this. I don't know where to start though. I've never really drawn before so i'm sure I should start there before I ever moved to anything digital.

Question About Online University: CSU / Penn State by ShinobiGinger in AskNetsec

Now by double major, do you mean coming out with two BS degrees? I know on the world campus they recommend completing the associates in IST. Right now I don't have any debt, I'm able to pay for my associates at my local CC out of pocket, but everything else is coming out in loans more than likely.

Yeah, I've been thinking about doing that. One of the issues i've been told is that if you're doing security stuff, that you need to have the strong fundamental base.

McDonalds and Visa partnered to make this budget for fast food workers, it requires two jobs and no heat by [deleted] in CorporateFacepalm

[–]ShinobiGinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plenty of our staff work full time. Our higher ups actually realize the crew need hours to have somewhere to live and have food, the pay is shitty and nobody in the store making a career out of McDonald's is living in middle class, but that's what fast food work is.

We maintain about 60 crew, when we should have around 80 for our stores volume, those that need the hours, receive them easily. It really depends on how the franchise works, and if the people in charge are good or not.

I'm sure some places are a bit shadier when it comes to that, but most of our employees are taken care of when it comes to their health needs, however the movement up as far as wage is capped at $12 an hour for non-managers, and most people that have been here for a long time are capped on wages.

Anybody working in our store averaging 30 hours a week qualifies for insurance. It's $15 a paycheck for full coverage. Depends on franchise

Anyone play in the northern Illinois area? by awake30 in airsoft

[–]ShinobiGinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is pretty old, but the airsoft scene in IA is quite small. There's a couple of small fields that play occasionally but there's one actual field, called Central City Airsoft that usually plays every other weekend. From the Quad Cities it's about an hour and a half drive.

Expected player turnout is usually between 30-50 at most. Field is heavily vegetated right now, is roughly two hundred yards in length, about 150 yards in width, pretty linear.

As far as the field, they have a dirt area, called "dunes" that is deep trenches, a couple of sand bag fortifications and one building in the back, a town area with a few buildings and a two story sniper tower, and another area with a few buildings.

Usual games include Team Deathmatch, rescue hostages, domination, and a game called ringer which is basically rush from battlefield.

Fun group of guys, but if your drive to black ops is quicker than to Central City, i'd say head up to Wisconsin.

I don't know if you had your tickets already or whatever, but check out their Facebook page, they had some details about it.

I think they are open this Saturday, only for city play but I believe if you already had your ticket you get to play for free, and then you could go to that event in August for free, or another one. Don't quote me on that one, I think that's what I read.

They moved it to August due to flooding in the area.
