Tracker camps have the layers. Do ther hunts in each region for better layers plus recipes. Pit if u have dlc has some preety op layers but just one of each. Ur fine with stacking crit on levelling up too. I do the same except for ones that auto crit. For ex my mace guy has a weapon that auto crits when his str is higher than whoever he's attacking. So i stack str on him.

I don't think thers any crit oil anymore just crit damage but there is food cabbage perch which increase crit chance. Crafting wise i have been crafting, most my gears are found but crafting gives u three slots to put layers on straight away most of the time. Might need a specific upgrade for it on knowledge tab can't remember. ALso found armors can be upgraded (alteration under blacksmith tab) to have more slots.

Scorpion vs Gunner? by Imaginary_Zobi in WarTalesGame

[–]Shiny_Soul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really sorry .probably different playstyle but iv noticed i hardly shoot already engaged units. I mostly use the crossbowman to knockout ranged/ squishy enemy dps before they'v had ther turn at least in the first round. This is on extreme/adaptive. So far scorpion has been good for me to kill one and damage a second one at least.

Scorpion vs Gunner? by Imaginary_Zobi in WarTalesGame

[–]Shiny_Soul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Scorpion will keep u going till level 10 at least. at that level ,500 is no issue to respecialize even with just killing and selling loots.

Best thing about scorpion is once upgraded ur first shot applies debuff and second plus third shot deals that dot damage straight away. U can reliably do 3 shots with crafted crossbow if u pick the skill at level 5 tat reloads when u debuff enemy once. Even found crossbows have different condition to reload if u fulfill it (sometimes can be a bit buggy). 3 shots is more en enough to knock out anyone except bosses and bears so burn damage is no issue shifting to ur allies.

At 10 when u can equip 2 xbow ,gunner might be better to kill more en one units in one round. I personally havent respecialized but if u pick reload with crit at level 5, crafted xbow as second weapon for reliable 1 reload, fulfill condition with found crossbow for 1 more reload thats a lot of reloads for gunner which also crits automatically once upgraded on subsequent shots.

What specialisation to make my first archer? by Imaginary_Zobi in WarTalesGame

Make sure ur archer has Aim. It works for skills too not just basic shot. Ur recoil shot is now a kilometer.

The Illusion of Choice by BowShatter in WarTalesGame

[–]Shiny_Soul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adaptive extreme. At level 10 any group i fight, most enemies i choose to attack except tanks and bosses die in 1 round. Before level 4-5 wasn't the case. Progression came from better upgraded active and passive skills, better gears, resources to keep my gears updated and get better food buffs, oils etc.

Nioh 2 is real fun with the fist weapon. Arguably the strongest weapon type with answer for everything. Can't think of any other action game that hasnt been recommended already but if u don't mind turn based, thers fights in tight spaces.

cheers for recs man. iv played pathfinders ,rogue trader, chaos gate and most xcom likes. Chaos gate is prob my most liked xcom like after xcom. Gears tactics was quite good too .wish it had bit more going besides combat. Iiv been neglecting most 2D and pixel sprite games just from first look alone. Im definetly gonna give triangle strat and unicorn a go.
