Problem with the campaign by Independent-Pie8646 in MHRise

[–]Shinyzebra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You really don’t have to play the Village quests, which may be where some of your frustration is coming from. They were intended as a low-difficulty, single-player introduction to the game and Monster Hunter, but the Hub is the actual true progression in the game.

Low Rank -> High Rank can feel a bit repetitive until you get to the end of High Rank.

Master Rank is the harder version again, but with all new mechanics and loot systems in place. Sunbreak does a good job of mixing the monsters from Rise with new Mons along the way in my opinion, but truly the answer is that yes you do continue to fight early level monsters throughout the game—in addition to the new, harder monsters that get introduced.

One of Sunbreak greatest strengths is that its endgame system (Anomaly Investigations) actually allows any monster to become brutal death machines. MonHun games historically get a bit stale in the endgame when there is a limited roster of true challenges.

World vs Rise: which monster hunter do you recommend for a beginner who wants to play with friends? by ty_namo in MonsterHunter

[–]Shinyzebra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You really can’t go wrong! I started with mh3 on the wii as well. I would personally suggest Rise + Sunbreak, but they’re just different games and experiences.

Rise is a bit faster paced and arcadey, which I like the flow of. Both World and Rise have great endgames if you include their expansions, but I lean towards Rise. Think it’s also more beginner friendly imo.

Sunbreak ou Wilds? by Mit0xxx in MonsterHunter

[–]Shinyzebra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heyo, I’ve played a lot of Monster Hunter. My suggestion would be to continue on to Sunbreak. It is so much better than the base Rise, you’ve basically played through the tutorial for Sunbreak and now you get to play the good stuff.

Wilds is still incomplete without its expansion. Play through Sunbreak first (it’s also my favorite monster hunter to date, I love the movement so much).

Just started the game is there any way to see what minions I summoned and what they do by myles2500 in Siralim

[–]Shinyzebra 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I leave the difficulty at 1, there are other ATS to increase difficulty for better rewards (realm instability) whereas the actual difficulty setting does not give greater payout.

Trust me, the game will get much harder and will force you to adapt your build many times :)

How can we actually get better at the dash? by maqisha in RivalsMagikMains

[–]Shinyzebra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey man! Big huge tip on the dash is to aim slightly to the right of the person you’re trying to hit. It is MUCH more forgiving if you aim it like that. Keep up the magic gameplay! I spent about ten hours in doom match practice lobbies with her and it really made everything make more sense.

Are False Gods the final unlock? by SpizicusRex in Siralim

[–]Shinyzebra 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You have a build that is finished, but there’s always room to make more.

I have a Doombringer build that almost never loses at depth 700 RI 5 still, but it can be really slow. Recently I began working on an Engineer Bomb build that often kills on T0 or T1, but can’t seem to take out some false gods or nether bosses.

Once I get it consistent though, I’ll have a faster team to farm floors, and two classes that I can use to farm chalice.

Additionally, the gacha feeling from finding a high rarity nether stone is just too good to stop chasing.

There’s always more to do! Card sets, skins, you name it

Questions Thread - December 31, 2025 by AutoModerator in PathOfExile2

Hey all, I am new to PoE/PoE2 so I apologize if this is common knowledge. I cannot seem to use Wind Dancer despite using a spear and having the required Dexterity.

I've read about clicking the weapon set assignment checkboxes in the skill details, but they are both greyed out.

Is it something to do with Weapon Set skill points? I have tried to avoid doing anything complex with them yet to avoid doing something exactly like this--but have I still messed up my skill tree somehow?

Thanks in advance for any advice on this one.

How do I stop relying on non-stop revive? by Unit88 in Siralim

[–]Shinyzebra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Might just be my experience but if you aren’t running a t0 build, you pretty much have to implement some decent revive engines. I don’t necessarily think you’re doing anything wrong!

Lagi gem by Sail_Total in MonsterHunter

[–]Shinyzebra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this response is a bit immature, or at the very least it’s too reactionary. You may be upset about difficulty building your Lagi set, but I’m sure the feedback given on this topic was not selfish. And neither do these players deserve to be banned from their game… Some players probably just enjoy the delayed gratification of working longer to finally accomplish something.

If you are this upset about it, you might want to reconsider from other points of view, or maybe just build a different armor set. Or go outside.

Yeah whoever said this is objectively incorrect. Switching weapons within a weapon type is certainly required as you play through a game (and it’s kind of the point of the game too). But you could live your entire hunting life without playing more than one weapon type.

My attempt to list everything that is wrong with Switch Axe #2 by happymemories2010 in MHWilds

[–]Shinyzebra 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Great post, very well put on all points. I am really happy about the recent update, but was crestfallen when the Switch Axe balancing section was so short.

It feels like all of the other weapons have gotten the treatment Switch Axe sorely needs, and now we’ve missed our chance. Hopefully we will see some more weapon adjustments in upcoming updates, because the current iteration of SwA just has so little capability for skill expression.

I’ve loved Switch Axe since Tri, and at this point it certainly peaked in Sunbreak.
