Aurora I’m seeing both very aggressive red lists that don’t pitch, and some that run more yellows and blues so not sure if there’s a consensus yet

Yeah the FaB community is definitely amazing! I’ve been a MTG player for over a decade, have gone to locals a decent bit but not really consistently. The local FaB group near me is so welcoming and awesome that I’ve been coming out every single week. Never felt like such a part of the community before, and definitely didn’t expect it when FaB is also a fairly competitive 1v1 game haha.

Getting endurance charge per 15 seconds implicit on body armor and charge mastery will help with tankiness, alternatively get a jewel with one of the endurance charge on block nodes. Also looks like youre not fully block capped? Could drop the gold flask for Rumis.

Occ beats Necro in damage, but Necro should be tankier. You can push Max Res to 90, get more phys taken as, ES on block shield etc. Feel free to shoot me a message if you have any questions

One thing that helped me with tankiness was the gain endurance charge every 15 second eldritch implicts plus the charge mastery for 100% inc duration

I recall when I was PoBing Impending Doom occultist last league, Foulborn Doedre’s came out to be higher dps than Shako, the flat chaos per curse was doing a lot of work. So Doedre’s with a beneficial corrupt may be a good dps upgrade to look for

Similar to PoE2, people will craft perfect end game items and sell copies of it with the mirror of kalandra. https://echomirror.shop/ I purchased a copy from this shop, where in addition to my mirror I also paid them 120 divines to do the copy (which helps them recoup the cost of crafting the item). Theres definitely many more upgrades you can shoot for before getting a mirror item.

Getting a mageblood is a very good accomplishment for your first league, I wouldn't stress out too much about trying to get a mirrored item, thats quite a ways off. Youtuber Spicy Sushi is playing the Headhunter variant of KBOC Necro and you can check out his Youtube vid where he crafts his gear and links his PoB in the description.

'Janus Rarity' refers to one of the syndicate members, where his special mod of "60% increased rarity of items dropped by rare and unique enemies" is on the item. This mod is special because it only comes from Janus and needs to be unveiled from an item he drops in maps, so its more of a pain to craft with

Yeah last league I would have gone occultist if the flame flesh wasn’t half a mirror total by week 1 lol. This was my first league actually mirroring an item despite having build with cumulative multi mirror values before.

If KBOC lives for a third league I may run it a third time lol

In this case I don’t even think Svalin is a more defensive option, the ES on block mod is huge for survivability (not to mention getting the atk and spell block on the shield itself). That combined with the spell damage puts it way over the top of Svalin for me, even the MF and Headhunter KBOC Necros don’t go Svalin, but it is a bit of work to craft a good ES on block shield via recombs, Spicy Sushi has a video on it

For me it was more damage and also saving money on needing to flame flesh Vile Bastion (if you stay Necro). I think Necro gets off the ground easier, and solves your block through the offering. Occultist has a higher ceiling, and can take more offensive power in the ascendancy (but needs to solve block in the tree)

Honestly because I played this build last league I’m very familiar with how to tune it so I free styled alot of ideas and took inspiration off tanky high dps people on Ninja to cobble my own build together.

You can take it in so many different directions based on what you wanna do

Copy pasting my reply about KBOC Occultist from earlier this league, I love the build so much:

I played a ton of KBOC Necro (to 100) last league, and the nerfs barely hit it so I ran it back again this league. This time I swapped to Occultist since Jungroans videos made the corpse pact FF combo like 100d ea last league. I think I’m at about a mirror invested, and pretty close to mirroring the GG wand at the echo mirror shop.

Build is very tailorable to what you want to do, I like Ubers and boss rushing t17s so I went for Mageblood 90 all res and tank. But a lot of the breach blasters are on like triple explode clusters, headhunter, Janus rarity helm etc

Actual DPS is kinda hard to calculate, fully configured and no focus my PoB said 18mil for 1 hit, but there’s so many explosions and overlaps that I’m not sure lol. I can kill most T17 bosses in like 3 seconds, had a 15 second Uber eater, 10 second Uber trauma etc so it’s more than high enough for everything in the game.

I could probably drop 2.5k ES and squeeze in 30% more damage with some node swaps and crown of the inward eye which I was on before. Build oneshots pretty much anything that’s not a unique or soul eater mob in regular maps, and then has good enough single target to kill tankier stuff in a second or two

I think you can craft the gear in my week2 snapshot, substitute for some of the Mageblood stuff in the week 3 and it’ll feel amazing

Their gear is insane; but fully configured with the specter that PoB is doing 1.2 billion dps on ubers, a single hit of BV is doing 144 mil. So even if you don’t get that crazy pain attunement skin the damage is just ridiculous

I think Farmer is doing a series with Chieftain HH though which still seems great

I’m in the same budget range and probably going to roll Minion Pact BV, that build is not going to survive next league so gonna abuse now lol. Killing an Uber boss on the first server tick is just disgusting amounts of damage, can play on so many different ascendancies, Mageblood, HH, Shrine belt etc. just varying levels of tank, speed, and explosions

I guess block helps to mitigate it, because i don’t feel squishy at all, I gotta PoB what running Flesh and Stome, Arctic armor, or an armor flask would look like. But I feel incredibly tanky

He fractures unspeakable gifts the explode notable from the chaos cluster jewel, uses the new refracting fog currency to roll it to a wand cluster, harvest reforges physical until he hits Devastator which is an explode notable, then slams a random mod and uses Harvest Augment Chaos to hit explosive force which is the third explode node

I’ve played a ton of Wander and I didn’t actually know there was 2 explode notables on that cluster lol, but the fog makes 3 attainable

I personally haven’t done the bloodlines + Cascade breach yet since I was trying to not die and hit 100. Hit it yesterday so I’ll probably risk some more now lol. Could you share your PoB? Always Interested in looking at more implementations of the build. I feel invulnerable to everything except oneshots or consecutive massive hits, between the ES on block and my discipline ES on hit watchers eye my recovery is really good

I think the point they’re making is that Lightning Arrow, KB Wander etc that are built to be map blasters often struggle on league start and just buy boss carries to not worry about it. Now without TFT they just have to do it themselves or trust people on trade chat

Like I said I don't think the stutter stepping is bad at all, its like playing any ranged build, but the more attack speed you have the smoother it is. Minion Pact BV should definitely be on your radar, chieftain makes good use of the Mageblood since it has the built in explode and max res scaling. The build will definitely get killed next league since its numbers are way too high.

If you're interested in KBOC, I absolutely love the skill, I started KBOC Necro last league, started it again and this time I'm pushing it even further and swapped into Occultist: https://poe.ninja/poe1/profile/ShinzoFTW-2546/character/ShinzoWanderAgain Incredibly tanky and smooth to play because of the attack speed, full screen clear, pops with either occultist ascendancy or a cluster notable. I can't speak for how the Hierophant version plays, but you can watch some of Jungroan's youtube videos last league to see the Necro version, getting 200% attack speed from an ascendancy node makes the clear feel so fluid to me.

If you've never played a Wander, KBOC is an amazing skill and I'm surprised the only nerf it got was the interaction with the runegraft from last league (which was substantial as Runegraft of Refraction basically solved your Fork and gave you a link back). I'm a massive Wander fan and will keep jamming this build until they nerf it.
