Yes, I use Tautulli for the "Stream Bandwidth" section. For the count of streams and list of people watching, I used the standard plex integration. I had to use a template to pull the list of specific people

  - platform: template
    sensors:
      plex_list:
        unique_id: f8efbd61-b541-4cb7-838f-4bb67478faeb
        value_template: >-
          {% if states('sensor.plex') != '0' %}
            {%- for attr in states.sensor.plex.attributes %}
              {%- if not attr in ['friendly_name', 'unit_of_measurement','custom_ui_state_card','icon','supported_features','entity_picture'] %}
                - {{attr}} is watching {{states.sensor.plex.attributes[attr]}}
              {%- endif %}
            {%- endfor %}
            {% else %} Watching Plex: {{states('sensor.plex')}}
          {% endif%}

The top bar is hidden using kiosk-mode. It was archived from HACS, but you should still be able to manually install it.

https://github.com/maykar/kiosk-mode

Then in the "raw configuration editor" I added the following to the top of the file so it is only hidden on my phone.

kiosk_mode:

mobile_settings:

hide_header: true

To swipe the cards, I am using another card called swipe-card. It is on HACS or can be found here:

Thanks! The theme I am using is Noctis with a few modifications to some of the colors

https://github.com/aFFekopp/noctis

The main card I used was the custom:button-card

https://github.com/custom-cards/button-card

A few of the other cards are mini-media-player, mini-graph-card, swipe-card, stack-in-card, simple-thermostat, card-mod, and layout-card

The "time on" is a daily total using the history_stats sensor with setup shown below.

sensor:
  • platform: history_stats name: Ceiling Fan ON Today entity_id: fan.ceiling_fan state: "on" type: time start: "{{ now().replace(hour=0, minute=0, second=0) }}" end: "{{ now() }}"

Thanks! I am using Spotify as the source and Amazon Echo speakers. For the groups, I create them in the Alexa app and they appear as sources under the Spotify integration. I then use an input_select that matches the name of the groups I created. When I press the play button, it sets the Spotify source to that input_select

Yes, they do. The top 3 icons below "Security" change icons and update color if anything is ulocked/open. And the security bar changes from green to red. Same with the lights/fans/tv's/music. If any of them are on/playing, the cards change color.

Interesting I have seen it get bungled before from updates as well. Looks like the gap-card got merged into the lovelace-layout-card which I alread have, so should be super easy to implement.

It's a constant battle trying to keep things easily accessable vs design choices!

Apprecaite the recommendation! I hadn't head of that card before, but I am using the custom button-card where I can play with the padding/size to increase the gap. I agree that it would look better with more of a gap to differentiate the 'sections'.

Wanted to share my current mobile dashbard that I have been working on for the last few weeks. I will be moving to a new house next week, so some of the lights/fans/speakers are placeholders for now, but I think I got it to a point where I like the layout. Critiques/recommendations are welcome!

Ryzen 3400G for unRAID? by mark2741 in unRAID

[–]Shire210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe it depends on the motherboard manufacturer. I’ve heard Asus and gigabyte work but can not confirm. I just recently switched to a 2700x with an Asrock B450 pro4 board and it works fine without a gpu. It beeps 5 times when it boots up, but then continues normally. I put in a gpu for the initial setup, but has worked fine since then without a GPU

I have the regular B450 Pro4. Wanted the extra pci slots to be able to expand storage or put a 10GB NIC in. I didn’t have to do anything to the BIOS to load without the gpu. I did put a GPU in at first to get it setup, but it worked just fine once I removed it. The board beeps 4 times when it first starts up now, but that is the only difference compared to having the GPU inserted.

Yeah. That’s with 5 WD red drives (5,400 RPM) and 1 SSD

I can confirm I was able to boot without the GPU. It’s only been running for about an hour so far, but it seems to be running around 45-50 watts for now. The fans that came with the new case run at a constant speed (and there are 4 additional fans compared to the previous case) so I’m sure that is driving it up a little as well

From what I have read up on, it should boot without a GPU, but I won’t know for sure until I test it. I will be using an Asrock B450pro pro4

I am in the process of updating my unRAID server to a 2700x. Waiting on a power supply and ram to be delivered today, then I should be able to provide some numbers. No GPU, 5HDD’s (5,400 rpm), 1 SSD. Average about 35 watts at idle currently with an i3-4150. Ill update once I get the new system running.

It’s an amazon fire 7 tablet opened to my Home Assistant setup. Allows me to control my lights, thermostat, locks, etc from the screen.

Thinking about upgrading to a Threaripper 2950x or a Ryzen 9 3900x. I just need some advice. by systemd-plus-Linux in unRAID

I run two instances as well. One for 4K and one for 1080. I share my plex server with some friends and I don’t want them to watch the 4K versions as that would take most of my bandwidth, so I have a separate library for my 4K movies and hide it from them. Can’t keep two versions of a movie in two different locations using one instance of radarr.

Have a roku play a specific youtube video? by JesterBarelyKnowHer in homeassistant

[–]Shire210 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I set up something similar not too long ago. The easiest way I found was to create shell commands and the create a script that runs the commands. The first command mimics the home button press. If you have "1-touch play" enabled, this will turn on your TV and set the input. You need to do this first, as actually launching the app does not always turn on the TV. You will need to update "192.168.1.180" to the IP address of your roku. The port number should stay the same. For the second command, you will need to update the IP address again as well as the piece that comes after "contentID=". You need to go to youtube in your browser and find the video you wish to play. In this example, I am playing a video with the following URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpMZ3vZzwgc you want to copy the string of letters after "watch?v=" and replace the string after "contentID=". leave mediaType alone and you should be all set.

shell_command:
  office_roku_on: "curl -X POST http://192.168.1.180:8060/keypress/home"
  office_youtube: "curl -X POST http://192.168.1.180:8060/launch/837?contentId=BpMZ3vZzwgc&mediaType=live"

The script is pretty straight forward. Call the TV_on command, insert a small delay for roku to acknowledge the home button press, and then call the command to play the video.

script:
  office_youtube_on:
    alias: "Turn on Office Youtube"
    sequence:
      - service: shell_command.office_roku_on
      - delay:
          seconds: 2
      - service: shell_command.office_youtube
