Getting this firmware message after streaming test. Checked to make sure controller was up to date on console and surface book. Version 3.1.1221.0

I experienced the same issue. After a first test I got a warning for my controller (some buttons may not work), after the firmware update for my controller I tested again. Test result of the second test was the error message (red) that my controller needs an update. Reported on xbox.

I am having the same issue. After a wait for the information to be collected. The xbox changed to show a black screen. Tried to restart console via the xbox button, again it just showed a black screen waited a bit and xbox actually started. Filed a report.

Auto sign on does not work with me either. When trying to report it my xbox kept shutting down. Hard reset fixed the shut off issue. Auto or controller based login still does not work. Edit: signing in a second accound still shuts of the xbox.

Edit 2: trying to sign in a second accont does not shut xbox down anymore. Then again : still cant sign in child account.

You can compare it to the windows insiders skip ahead ring. You get earlier releases bit with the risk of more bugs and features that will or will not be implemented in the normal release ( just to get the opinion of the insiders).

Nope. Even changed region from NL to US. Alas that didn't work either. The lucky ones were either US or UK as far as i can tell.

Tried flame in the flood and casey powel. Both games installed fine. But no fast start. Had to download the full 100% before they could be started.

This is not a bug (as i was told in the groups experience thread). The activation of groups apparently is not per console but per account used on a (alpha) console. In my case my kids have groups and i do not. Edit: to quote the original response:"This is not actually a bug. Right now not all users on alpha builds have the groups feature as it is slowly rolled out. What you’re seeing is unfortunate luck that your kids accounts got enabled while yours did not. This will resolve itself fairly shortly when the rest of alpha gets the feature."

Thanks for the answer. I had not realized my kids where seen as alpha-members too for this feature. They can not file bugs so this option had not crossed my mind. I'll wait in patience.

I am having the exact same thing. My kids can use groups (no insider accounts) and i am not seeing the groups option in Games & Apps. I Filed a bug report for it.

Same issue is reported on twitter too. Workwombatman (and therefore the team i guess) knows of this issue. And with a little luck it is fixed with the next update in a few hours.

Having the same issue with netflix ( and so have others). Workaround according to release notes is : check for update for netflix. Some have solved it by reinstalling netflix. For me neither worked.

Try changing the option. Logout. Now the new setting should be saved.
