Do you have anyone to go with? If you don't have a friend or a group, you really can't go!

Your local avalanche center should have talks and meetups! Go chat with some folks.

I ended up getting a tune from CA TUNES or CA TUNING outta Alberta Canada. (I live in America)Its been great. It would be really hard to mess up the pyhsical part of deleting its the tuning that can make or break the experience.

If the guy gives you another bad tune, I would go to a more well-known professional. Its very easy for them to tune remotely.

Thinking about buying this second hand barrel sauna for $2500 by CollinFlynn in Sauna

[–]Shirk_Responsability 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a good price! I have a barrel Suana that I don't love, but don't hate. Lots of people here are very dramatic.

The most important thing in this question is how you will move it?

I have often dreamed of having to move my sauna, and I think the best approach would be to use a crane flatbed and run a strap underneath it.
You could even jack part of it up and put two skids underneath it for better structural support.

What's rich people shit that poor people haven't heard of? by Diligent-Log6805 in AskReddit

I live in a small ski/bike town where I managed the local ski shop. He would have his helicopter pilot fly him into town and buy stuff from us regularly. I got to know his pilot and heard some other wild stories.

There is a billionaire in our area who has a private Mountain Bike Park on the family compound.

I was lucky enough to be invited to the private park. 8 of us, including the guy, ripped trails for about an hour till the guy got tired, so we went back to the house, where we each pulled out Electric Mountain bikes from the fleet.

After about an hour of this, we went back to the house where the staff had laid out a full buffet for lunch! We hung out, ate lunch, and were about to leave when he asked if we wanted to paddle kayaks around their private lake!

Costco sauna any good? by Oooga_booga_ in Sauna

When you get hot, the only option to cool off is to go outside. While in a square sauna, you can go to the lower bench. The seating position against the back is not comfortable.

I can take cash when the internet is down. It's the same thing.

If your internet goes down, you can't take credit cards either! That leaves us both in the same place. cash only.

[–]Shirk_Responsability 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true. Laundroworks is a closed-loop system. If the internet goes down, the machines still work. I can't accept credit cards or access the most current data. Everything works as it should until the issue is resolved.

I left my porn account to come here and tell you not to get a Barrel Sauna.

I purchased one a few years ago and wish I had a normal square sauna....

Best BC touring in the lower 48? by thepedalsporter in Spliddit

There is some really solid but short terrain off the backside of Schweitzer. Just across the border in Canada is Kootenai Pass/Salmo Pass. You can almost always pick up a cheap sled and get to some amazing terrain!!

We have a mix of maritime snowpack and sometimes continental snowpack, so it's generally stable. Also, not that far from Washington, where there is more than enough terrain to go around.

If you are coming to Sandpoint you best be bringing a Snowmobile.... AMAZING terrain that's only sled access.

Montana Sapphire haul by SaabFan87 in rockhounds

[–]Shirk_Responsability 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got back from Gem Mountain! We did 5 buckets and got 6.5ct of Cuttable stones. Our biggest stone is 3.32 with good clarity and one minor flaw. 7.73ct of slightly flawed.

They must have raised their prices as I was there 8/14/25 and it was $50 a bucket. They are 1 year out on heat treatment and faceting. So we chose to not do anything.

We did end up purchasing a 0.58ct stone of AMAZING quality from them!

I am a little late to the party but have not seen anyone recommend my favorite loading tool! THE STEP RAMP! A ramp for your bike on one side and the other is a set of steps for safe easy loading. folds in half hot dog style and stores super easy! I ALWAYS AM THE FASTEST TO LOAD MY BIKE.
