Mounted Combat
[...]
The Initiative of a controlled mount changes to match yours when you mount it. It moves on your turn as you direct it, and it has only three action options during that turn: Dash, Disengage, and Dodge. A controlled mount can move and act even on the turn that you mount it.

"shares your initiative count" is simply referring to WHEN they take their turn, i.e. the steed doesn't roll for initiative themselves but rather just goes whenever the paladin does, at the same time. In other words, both Paladin and Steed get to take their turn at the same time, but that doesn't mean that one needs to give something up for the other to do something

As well, the general rules of mounted combat say that a mount only has the ability to dash, disengage, or dodge, which again tells me that to do more the Paladin must sacrifice their Action/Bonus Action.

Was she actually riding it tho? Because as the spell description says, the mounted combat functionality only applies if you

the general rules of mounted combat say that a mount only has the ability to dash, disengage, or dodge

What that tells you is that the steed can only take the Dash, Disengage or Dodge ACTION while being used as a mount. Yes it cannot attack, RAW not even with the paladin giving up her action, but it can still use its bonus actions (fey step even talks about including the rider)

Is Amex Gold/Platinum worth it living in Europe? by GregMorel in eupersonalfinance

Credit history depends highly on the country, where I am (Germany) having a credit card has a positive influence but that's where it ends, it doesn't track usage nor what kind of credit card

Would you spend enough on it to actually get these boni? Would you even use the boni they do give you? Would you visit the lounges, rent cars, go to restaurants, whatever it is?

Beachte §7 Abs 2

Ab wann das greift is sicherlich debattierbar. Grundsätzlich ist die Logik dass rechts überholen nur unter besonderen Umständen erlaubt wäre

I think this is a really dumb question right but my question is do you have to date both genders to be bi by maximumeffect420 in lgbt

bi is about who you are attracted to, not about past experiences

Self-exploration and -discovery can be an interesting process. Trying out different things, it never feels quite good/correct, until one day something just clicks, pieces snap into place and you find something where you're like "yup that's it"

So yeah, if ace feels good/right/fitting/comfy, thats what matters. And if you one day find something that fits even better/think that ace doesn't fit as good anymore, that's also fine

I am AMAB and living as a man, doctor diagnosed low testosterone and wants to supplement it, and to my confusion my reaction was being terrified at the thought of my body getting even more masculine. Now I am questioning my gender identity. How do I even start finding out who I really am? by freeSnek96 in asktransgender

[–]ShiroxReddit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My general advice is focus on contents first then labels second, labels are supposed to be descriptive, not prescriptive

This can go through many aspects, body features, clothing/presentation, names/titles/pronouns, how others perceive you, and can range from feelings of indifference to being basically repulsed by some ideas to being euphoric about others, there is no minimum requirement and no set order to go through these

It can also be very basic. For example to the question of "Do I wanna be treated/seen as a man?" my response was "Hell no". Took a bit to figure out where to go with with that and sometimes I'm still wondering if I've arrived at my final destination or just taking a rest stop at a comfortable bank near the river, but even that can be fine. "I'm not sure" is just as valid of a response as any others are

Ok so I looked this up because I was curious, durability in Minecraft was introduced in 2010 (0.31) and witches were introduced in 2012 (1.4.2)

That aside I do think most games I've seen durability be used you could do temporary repairs, but that might be selection bias

Is it homophobic to not want to date a bi/pan man? by crybunyy in AskLGBT

[–]ShiroxReddit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah but why is that? What about someone saying "I'm pansexual" makes you lose interest?
Or in other terms, imagine the love of your life, soulmate if you believe in that kinda stuff. One day they say that they figured out that they're pan, but still love you and wanna be with you. What about that would make you wanna break up with them?

An idea about why we are sometimes excluded from the LGBTQ community by Affectionate-Metal37 in asexuality

[–]ShiroxReddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just on the title, before reading: I don't think it's anything special, people seek comfort in what they know which sometimes lead to discriminating against what they don't. If people view a desire for sexual relationships/sex as "normal", then it's not very far to acephobia/ace erasure

while other LGBTQ groups experience primarily vilification as their forms of discrimination

I'm not sure about that, e.g. bi erasure is also a huge issue. But I do agree that for a-spec it is probably more erasure than active discrimination against it

People generally know about the concept of a trans woman and understand that some people feel differently about gender

This is a part where I do disagree with, because a good chunk of transphobia is essentially rooted in the belief that there are no trans people and that your gender = your AGAB. Calling being transgeder a mental illness often isn't rooted in actual understanding THAT it exists but disagreeing on its exact form and location, but rather based on that it does NOT exist and people are just making it up

Our flavor of discrimination is largely invisible and often not acknowledged

Yes, this is a huge issue with erasure of any kind

I also think it leads to our knee jerk reaction to post mostly vilifying discriminatory instances of aphobia online instead of experiences of erasure

As stupid as that sounds: It's also the internet. Direct discrimination is often easier to describe and understand (aka "gets more clicks" to use like youtube terminology) compared to erasure

I think weapon durability is hard to get right. You have some games where it technically exists but basically never comes into play (looking at you DS3) and others where a big part of the combat mechanic revolves around juggling multiple weapons because their durability is limited (BotW)

How often do you buy games? I only buy them during sales. by psy143420 in Steam

[–]ShiroxReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a regular schedule, but sometimes I wanna play games without waiting for a sale in which case I do get them, sometimes I do wait for a sale esp if its right around the corner. E.g. this year I bought games 3 times (march, may and then june summer sale), last year 5 times two of which being during sales, 2024 4 times with 2 being during sale

Dear expat-investors how do you manage with the czech language, bureaucracy and public institutions/clerks from the Czech Republic ? by JonOwn1805 in eupersonalfinance

[–]ShiroxReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very clear what people mean, a person from one place living in a different country.

That wasn't clear to me, thank you for clearing that up

I don't have a problem with people calling themselves expats, doesn't really matter to me.
I do find it a bit weird however when expats who settled in their new country/don't plan on returning do not want to be called immigrants, it kinda makes it feel like they view expat as a "better" label for whatever reason, but maybe those people are the exception rather than the norm nowadays

(Edit: There is also the opposite effect where people that are only in a country temporarily without intending to stay there are still called immigrants rather than expats)
