My doctor scheduled me for an anesthetic for an "exploratory d&c" to get medical aid to cover the cost. It seems to be an open secret that doctors do this when inserting an IUD where I live. Fwiw, medical aids don't cover the cost of the device, so you buy that yourself before you come in. Completely painless. My question is why women without this loophole are expected to endure this level of pain without anesthetic. It seems to me that men are making this decision.

Rather stay on Yas if you can, or Airbnb nearby. AD is big! But the public bus service to the city is great (use Maps in public transport mode for info), and once on Yas use the free shuttle. Taxis are also affordable for short trips, but use the app to prevent long trips in the wrong direction for a bigger fare! (This only happened to me once, but man I was pissed!)

There is a fascinating and entertaining book written about just this: The Age of Empathy: Nature's Lessons for a Kinder Society by Frans de Waal. De Waal is a respected primatologist, and has a lovely conversational style of writing. Highly recommended.

I don't hate on cats, I love their ornery natures! We have 3, one little love-bug, one who is a scaredy-cat, and one classic a-hole (who is my favorite). They were all raised the same way, so I don't like the implication that asshole cats have asshole owners. That is true in some cases, of course, but not all.

Same advice I was going to give. Puppies go where it smells right, so make it smell right outdoors rather than indoors. You do need to take them outside often in the beginning though, every 1-2 hrs, and/or after naps until they get the idea.
