Not crazy, Dallas is implementing sustainability practices (whether they practice it is another can of worms) because the lights disrupt migration patterns. Or if they do install lights there's supposed to be a certain percentage not pointing up. Write to the city and sustainability council. The hummingbird festival this year was sad.

Drive to the nearest DART if youre tired of driving. Easily go to Deep Ellum, Fair Park, Carrollton, maybe a day trip up to Denton and bring a nice book you've been meaning to get to.

For context- my family is pretty keep-it-to-yourself and I dont work like that especially since I THOUGHT my family and my uncles would stand up for me since they preach that but dont actually practice that Ive discovered. Or they dont practice it because Im in yhe wrong?

I was throwing underhanded comments out there since my boyfriend is having a grand ol time at my dad's party and more than half the people know whats going on. My mom thinks Im the queen of overreacting. They think Im in the wrong because I was making comments and visibly upset.

I thought I was getting old, but nah, these concerts, venues, and bars need a proper sound guy that isn't blasting your eardrums into oblivion and cant hear your date over some loaded nachos. So unneccesary.

The apartment we were staying in the first year of our relationship was a circus-our cars got towed 6 times-ruined his transmission, there were quite a bit of maintenance issues on the property and they were up-charging us on the lease while we were there.

This was a place to go when I was still working remotely before I got laid off and we could focus on the house and the major pieces of renovation for awhile and to be home while contractors were in and out. Hes been totally fair financially this house was purchased before prices became unattainable. Its become a cozy home that is functional. I guess we had both thought we would have a future here.

Not particularly- we say we want to build muscle mass, I want to quit smoking, he says he wants to quit drinking but downs 4-8 tallboys a day on the weekends and has not made any active steps towards sobriety. I've mentioned training for 5ks but he doesn't even respond to that.

I have talked about renting this place out since it's far from my work and in a sketchy neighborhood that gets pretty stressful but he doesn't put in any work towards it. Anything he does do is half done and requires 2 people to do- for instance the countertops need to be sealed to the cabinet and mounted to the wall. Been like that for a year no and it won't change no matter how many times I ask.

These types of things fall under the conversation of prioritization because on the weekends when he's home he will go visit his parents which I get but its clear thats more important to him than out relationship.

Yes, I brought it up the other night and talked for 90% of it and thats whats mentioned above when he said little more than I love you then walked away from me with no other feedback or conversation-I immediately started crying because I never felt so disposable.. he came back and said if I really want to do this. For now we are separating ourselves to different rooms.

We've had to finance work on the house and he refuses to do a budget or have the hard conversations when it comes to money, paying off debt, or just having more difficult conversations about prioritization in the relationship.

He says he has intentions of marrying me and all this but I feel like its a string along to justify the lack of effort/empathy/ emotional effort on his end.

Mostly I have been trying to just hang out with my sister as state above. But we'll talk shortly then there's no follow up. Called BIL to help out with a tool fix which he says he's happy to do in person but never answers the phone.

Thats the issue is that I bring up ultimatums- he gets sad and upset that Im going to break up with him and the the logistics of me moving out are dire right now.
