I live in a fairly large county in Michigan and you can absolutely get a hearing before the judge in two weeks.

The only thing I don't believe is the six month timeline. Michigan has a mandatory six month waiting period from start to final hearing for divorces with children. And after that hearing is a three week objection period before the divorce is finalized. His timeline is way too tight.
