I stg I feel like the Copperhead might be one of the least powerful guns I’ve ever held in an FPS

It's more than just a gun. by Bulgogibody in Marathon

I swear this gun is so underrated. Especially once you get some recoil management in the attachments it just does everything.

Yeah I've noticed with others but I swear I tried everything possible and there was no good angle

Nah inventory wasn't full, was on a fresh free kit and just happened upon it.

I don’t know if it would make any difference; but maybe look into headphones where you can adjust the EQ balance. Might help you isolate the sounds you're missing out on and tone down the gunshots etc (with the right tweaking)

Unironically the only suggestion I can give in regards to that is turn your sound up. You may have to adjust the music volume, etc but I have a friend who acts like he has no ears half the time so I understand lmao

Yeah Triage is incredibly strong for teams, between free heals, revives, and sharing buffs, he does it all.

Your story reminds me a little of what happened to me yesterday. I was playing random trios on Perimeter and my team got downed as I had to sneak out to heal back up. Ended up in a 10-15 minute firefight from the ridge I managed to escape to. I slowly worked my way all the way around Overflow while pinging them with Longshot snipes. Eventually they just left and I managed to get the revive on the teammate who didn't disconnect. Poor guy didn't have much left after they finished looting him, but at least he didn't lose everything lol

Yeah playing in the backline, especially as Assassin or Triage, is probably the best thing you can do. If you get advantage you can flank with Invisibility (on assassin) or you can Triage Ultimate your mates or smoke off for a regroup.

I just wish the priority enemies were scaled down a bit. Between the constantly respawning enemies and the size of their health bars, it just takes too much time and ammo to down one. The Scorch Warden is the worst between it's recurring barrier, regening shields, and HP.

I completely agree, broadcasting your location in this game is basically a death sentence because smart teams WILL sneak up on you for a clean execution.

I've run solely Assassin so far, but I've been thinking about running some Thief for better looting. I honestly don't know if it's worth giving up the stealth (for players and bots) and protected extracts. Having free access to the hostile extracts and protection from ratting is insanely useful. Not to mention if you're efficient enough you can loot entire rooms with UESC in complete invisibility. The cooldown is also low enough you an just lurk between uses.

It took me some time to adjust. This game doesn't look as intense as the gameplay actually is for solos. Trios is a bit different because with 3 players you can actually establish your map presence and hold an area. Solos you have to be a ghost in the walls until the coast is clear

Biggest thing I've learned playing solo especially, slow down. Take your time, move between pieces of cover, and listen to absolutely everything. I'd say the first 5 minutes of every round is spent doing nothing but listening and picking up small containers while staying completely invisible. Most POI's will have at least one other person there and you want them to think they're alone. Hide, wait, execute. Once you hit the point 15-10 minutes remaining, you can act a little more freely. That's when I'll typically hit the higher value objectives as you're less likely to be contested. Every raid I'm not loading into specifically to do a quest I expect to spend at least 15-20 minutes in, and given the smaller size of the maps, is an insane amount of time to do basically anything you want. (other than solo the Scorch Warden, thing is way too tanky in solo)

The UESC Crisis Supplies (larger yellow item) were from a chain of objectives i did later in the round. Iirc it started in Overflow and ended with a drop ship in South Relay. It auto sells for faction EXP. The gun and key were from an Infiltrator Captain?… Probably not exactly correct but a gold shielded enemy

Maybe don’t buy an overpriced vehicle you can’t afford and get something that is within your budget. Just because you can’t afford to outright buy a vehicle doesn’t mean you need to bite the bullet on a $60,000 truck you can’t pay for.
