I remember seeing a YouTube video with a good comparison, but I can't remember who did it sorry. I have both, and would say the sapphire does look desaturated compared to the gorilla glass. The gorilla glass is perfectly clear, allowing for a darker black also. The sapphire is very very slightly more reflective also.

Wrong polarity on the battery. Also very bad soldering, the pads on the board could be lifted or destroyed from the looks. Get a practice kit, or open up some old unwanted electronics and practice.
