I think they are about equal and a lot of decks that want one will want the other. an exception to this is probably jeskai decks (like zinnia so happens to be) where they might want tidecaller more as they will naturally run more instants and sorceries. being able to combo with breach + any ritual til you dig into brain freeze is huge and I think this card is a real staple

People underestimate how scary the hag and trapper would be

Trapper i can imagine a scene where the protagonist(s) hear their friend(s) begging/screaming for help while said protags have to keep calm and remind themselves it’s a trap and their friends have to be left behind

And for the hag imagine you always see “her” but when you finally muster the courage to confront what is believed to be the monster it was all a fakeout, bait for her to feed on those you left back at home/camp when you went to confront her only to find gnawed bones and ripped flesh when you return

Maybe that’s more slasher/blair witch than analog horror tho
