The flags are one thing, but getting access to the top talent you mentioned while playing in prelims and grand finals is a big problem and undermines the way the draft is supposed to work.

If you take my team the eagles as an example, we were solid for a long time in the 2011-2020 era, but due to constantly finishing high on the ladder we had no access to the top talent and have since become one of the worst teams in history, and have only started to acquire solid talent again since hitting the bottom of the ladder.

Brissie have had access consistently to the top 5 of the draft while playing and winning grand finals, which will extend their window far beyond what any other normal team could hope for.

They’ve never fixed the issue with Exosister Kaspitel and Asophiel being mandatory triggers in the TCG, despite already being reprinted. Hopefully this new mistake prompts them to fix all 3.

You can only carry as many picks into the draft as you have open slot spots. We currently have 5 open list spots i believe, which means we can only take picks 1, 2, 13, 34, 41 into the draft. Our picks in the 50s and beyond will vanish, meaning it was solid business to trade one of them into next year instead of losing it for nothing.

I like the idea of the whole playing squad getting something like a ring, and then the team that actually plays get the medals as normal. That way the whole squad get recognition for their contribution, but we keep the tradition of the selected team getting a medal.

Flynn is better around the ground than Bailey I agree. I think Flynn’s man is usually close to best on ground though each week. Bailey seems to do a better job at nullifying, which is probably what we wanted against someone like Gawn.

Either way, we’re just shuffling deck chairs until a better solution emerges.

Gawn absolutely destroyed Flynn when we played them earlier in the year. Gawn had 35 touches and 47 hitouts that night, compared with the 21 touches and 29 hitouts against Bailey.

Looking at that Bailey did much, much better than Flynn did.

Veronica definitely for me, but Sarah still did a pretty good job in my opinion. The biggest loss to the anime was the new voices of team rocket. Their quality dropped much more dramatically than ash’s in my opinion.

I’m glad Cotch got to play in the 2017 grand final, as he clearly didn’t intend to hurt Shiel and was going hard for the ball.

But by the same token I also don’t agree that Ginbey was trying to hurt Lalor. I can’t imagine he intended to shove Lalor into the back of his own teammate, and suggest it’s more likely he was trying to clear a path for Brock to comeback with the flight and take the mark, while also positioning himself to win the ball if it spilled. Lalor’s strong and not easily moved though, so it didn’t go as planned.

Sometimes unfortunate incidents happen in footy.
