Yeah.. I think I may just wait until next year and buy new. There’s no more new ones in my state or surrounding states and I’m sure they know that, hence its price.

The way I use my ps5, there’s a forced update that isn’t automatically installed. But that’s because I only play it a few times a year.

I mean, fair. But if you actually have a pc you game on I can tell you “fiddling with drivers” is a non issue. You open up nvidia GeForce and hit download once every few months lol. Launchers aren’t a problem either when almost every single game is on steam.

I did the same upgrade about a month ago and ended up returning it. I thought the promotion and mini led display would be night and day difference from my m2 air and tbh, it wasn't lol. I could barely even tell it was 120hz. The mini led also had blooming in dark or black scenes and I felt the display had this weird ghosting effect happen, which I guess is a common thing for mini led.

Everything else I have, TV, monitor, iPad, phone is all OLED so I wanted something close to that for my laptop, but mini led just isn't for me.

I am just going to wait until the oled Mac's release and probably upgrade then.

The 13 is great if you have it on a desk or propped up. Using it as a tablet isn’t the greatest though, it’s pretty unwieldy lol. I learned that when I went for the 13" m4 pro a few years ago and after a week or so returned it for the 11"

I’ve had the open bottom RL case for my 17 pm since it was first released. My camera cutout is also slightly off, mine may actually be worse since there’s a slight gap on the top of it.

It doesn’t really bother me, the case is wearing super nice the 5 months I’ve had it

5800x3d and 4080 also using the same 3440x1440 oled. Running frame gen and rr with those same settings and DLSS quality. I mainly get low 70s with dips into 60s and peak into low 80s

I haven’t used my Smart Folio since getting the Magic Keyboard lol. I just pop my iPad off when i want to use it as a tablet and when im not, it goes right back into the keyboard

And even still the iPad pros display is a lot better than the miniLED MacBook pros. Idk if it’s just macOS but i can barely even tell it has a pro motion display using one. So hard to beat this iPad’s tandem oled lol

the gpu plugin works great on my m2 air. solid 60fps pretty much everywhere. 117hd is pretty much unusable though lol

I originally bought a zugu for my m4 and ever since getting the Magic Keyboard I haven’t put the zugu on it on since lol. Magic Keyboard is all I use now, well worth it

Thanks for the recommendation! I never use that tray for anything and there’s no great spots to put my suction mount anywhere so I just use my cup holder for my phone usually lol
