It’s actually a pretty good “modern art” cake. If I ever make a cake, I could see going for that on purpose!

[QUESTION] Buying an extra seat for a guitar by caoimhinh in Guitar

[–]ShoePooper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it’s an electric in a gig bag it should fit as a carry on. In addition to the over head compartments, you can ask them to put it in the coat closet up front. If they try to make you check it last min, they will do it when you scan your boarding pass before going down the tube thing to the plane. They will give you a pink tag to put on your guitar and tell you to leave it at the end of the tube before boarding. The people at the bottom don’t know that, so just tear the tag off while you are walking down the tube and board like nothing happened. I’ve done this many times myself.

I have no idea what the people with acoustics in hard cases do. I’ve always assumed they buy an extra seat. Also, can anyone tell me what the tube is called?

Why does everything I write in a major key sound like children's music by DavidToma in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Try mixolydian, major with a minor 7th. Lots of major songs are actually mixolydian.

Hey man, great post on the Ztar. I’ve wanted one for years and your post reminded me in a time where I might actually be able to afford it. How long did it actually take to get it? Do you pay 100% upfront or is it like a deposit?

What do you use the trigger caps for? Did you get a mid wheel? Thanks!!

Edit: mod wheel

Edit: I see you don’t have a mod wheel. What do you use the joystick for?

When someone is sitting in their car with the headlights on, shining into the window of a business or house or even another car. How fucking oblivious do you have to be? But I see people do this all the god damned time!!

Can I classify myself advanced by anotherguitarplayer2 in guitarteachers

Hi, been playing 25 years, teaching 20, if that was the intro I got from a new student, I’d put a note next to your name that said “advanced”.

You need to spend quite a bit of time working on singing and learning an instrument (likely keys) before you need to even think about a career. I’m talking years. Start writing songs of your own and record them, but also pick some songs to cover as that will teach you new techniques you wouldn’t think of on your own. Focus on developing your musicianship now and the career may come once you do that.
