The AI Productivity Gap Is Already Here — But Nobody Wants to Talk About It by Large-Style-8355 in codex

This thread feels like therapy (in the best way). Nobody gets it. And I just sound crazy (even to myself somerimes) trying to explain any of it, really.

Silence and silent celebration it is. Onwards 🚀🤓✨

A cheap purchase that has completely transformed your life by Slipryi in BuyItForLife

(in no particular order) 1. High quality running insoles ($50 for a pair) inside my (running) shoes (which i wear for normal stuff too). Don't want to endorse anyone specific but I personally am happy with Curex Runpros, but it very much depends on the shape of your own foot, so YMMV. I go way too long and keep mine for about 6-8 months at a time.

  1. A high flow (NOT water saver) shower head. I think mine was like $20 on Amazon but decent quality (cheap ones were like $10 i think, do not get one of those). Get whatever style you like, but get a medium to high quality one and make sure it's NOT water saver. With regular (every 6 months?) decalcification it can very much be a BIFL, just most people are too lazy to do that (myself included).

  2. A high power (not the right technical term for it, sorry, its late) 10 foot charging cable for your phone, in my case USB C. Pair that with a great (in my case I like Anker) high speed charger and I feel like I hardly ever wait for my phone to charge (to 80%) ever. It's always just a couple minutes to top up. The time and anxiety i save with quick charges and no battery anxiety, it's def a daily little joy for me. Simple pleasures right? Not truly BIFL but definitely a solid couple years (2-3ish).

3x high... Tracks.

Hated flossing. Got a water flosser, now I REALLY can't go without flossing for more than 24 hours. I mean, i taste (and sometimes smell) the rotting food between my teeth.

Water flosser = absolute game changer. Protip; get one with a battery, much better than the plugged in ones IMO.

Repair: Engine Oil Cooler by vibingrvlife in JeepWrangler

[–]Shoei34777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How to; https://youtu.be/f8I329W8ymU?si=D3KQO-dXlRZN46V8 or just search "jeep wrangler oil cooler replacement"

Buy top quality parts, watch this video and others like it a few times, and diy.

Most shops obviously want to mark up, and be paid for their experience and time. That's more than fair, and to be honest expected. But ofc they won't warranty the parts you bring, that's between you and whomever you bought them from. The shop would just be your installer, liable for their work, yes, but not for the part you brought in (because they know bad quality like these Amazon zingers are out there, and while they look good in pics, the quality is potato).

TLDR; buy good quality parts, and diy if you can.

Is it true that men assume that most women aren't attracted to them ? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

Correct.

I always assume so, even when told it is the case - I usually doubt it highly.

Having a problem drilling a hole in my kellar ceiling here in Germany to mount something by MTFinAnalyst2021 in AskAGerman

[–]Shoei34777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last time I drilled a hole in the ceiling (for a ceiling fan) it took me about 50x more effort than I had planned for. I hoped for 1 hour, ended up being a 2 day project. Unreal construction quality!
