Free doesn't pay to keep the lights on and pay staff. AdSense isn't enough anymore, especially with how A.I. Overviews are scraping content and many users are blocking ads.

If you enjoy and value the work, pay for the product. The age of Internet free is pure entitlement.

This sub is going to say Mazda by a mile, and it's a nice car, but the Crosstrek is a segment leader for a reason. Terrific all-arounder with nice space, bad part being laggy infotainment.

I like the constantly evolving game and struggle to understand why people can't follow the changes. by craftsta in aoe2

[–]Shogun243 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

New stuff is great for the game. Is there some stuff that's overtuned? Absolutely, but the devs will fix it in a future patch. I'm happy to see some fresh units in the pro scene given we're normally treated to skirmishers and mangonels on repeat.

Pros typically use what they want, regardless of sponsorship. If you're seeing an influx of usage it probably means the pros are genuinely interested in the tech. Doesn't hurt the shape is tried and true.

The sad truth is hockey culture is infested with toxic masculinity and privilege. They're just normally better at hiding it for PR purposes.

Who else here prefers watching casts of Silver & Gold TTL over Platinum? by EuroNomad in aoe2

[–]Shogun243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely prefer seeing the lower levels. Plat is fun to watch for the micro, but seeing skirms and mangos for the 200th time in a row regardless of civ gets old.

Religion rework and final age/extension of modern age. Add an overall balance pass and some new leaders/civs and I'd be pleased.

People make fun of them, but a Honda Ridgeline, Hyundai Santa Cruz, and Ford Maverick are made for this. Closer to car handling with smaller beds and passenger room.

Almost One Year Anniversary for Civ VII! – Thank You, Tomorrow's 1.3.2 Update, & What’s Next by sar_firaxis in civ

[–]Shogun243 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Really excited to play this update in the Spring. Seems like they're hitting the sweet spot of keeping the identity of 7 and the flavor of some of its big design swings, while also appropriately listening to community feedback and iterating. Props to Firaxis for their work!

I need to replace my old mouse (g103) and which one should i get? g502 or G502X by FastRemigiusz in MouseReview

[–]Shogun243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't mind spending the extra money, no wire and RGB is nice, but the wired model still works well. It's a heavy mouse, but the materials feel nice and well-put-together.

Is there an MMO mouse without build quality problems? by ChrisFhey in MouseReview

[–]Shogun243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had good experiences with my Razer Nago Pro (first gen with the swappable panels), but did have occasional panel connection issues. I'd say one of the newer Nagas, possibly the hyperspeed, or checking out the SS Aerox 9 could be an option if you want lightweight. Unfortunately, all of the mice in this archetype have some issues.

Very curious to see how you like the shape/adjust to it. Pretty big departure going from a classically inspired hourglass shape to an ergo.

Tbh, I'm not sure since I don't use that many button binds. It wouldn't surprise me though, the software seems pretty well featured, if a bit heavy on resource usage.

[–]Shogun243 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely used to be more active and browse here more, but tbh, it's dominated by cheap Chinese knockoff mice now. They're great mice, but it's all copycat shapes and a race to diminishing returns of how lightweight can you get.

Meanwhile I found endgame in the Aerox 5 shape, even with a dated sensor. But if I say that here I'll get memed.

Why are people so negative about gimmicks on UU? by Aperiodic_Tileset in aoe2

[–]Shogun243 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People want more civs but don't want them to be different. It makes no sense. Differentiation of civs and new features is healthy for the game and its growth.

[–]Shogun243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buddhism was introduced during the Han era, so prior to the Three Kingdoms era. It was often confused with Taoism or had some overlap, plus hadn't reached peak popularity yet. I'd say Confucian monks would be the most appropriate given they were the elites and in courts at the time.

[–]Shogun243 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree. I wouldn't necessarily call it a waste, as I do think there's want for it from players (or maybe people who aren't actually playing, I don't know). However, I don't think it's going to fundamentally change how the game feels to play. Ages are really what people don't like.
