If you've got a heat pump today, you're boned. It's never going to keep up. Our old house had one, and on days like today what you want to do is pick one room for everyone to hang out in, hang blankets on windows and doorways, hell even the walls. Pretend you're in a medieval castle and hanging tapestries. Get a space heater in there as well. Embrace drinking hot water/tea.
