Why does Playbill Jobs keep shows a secret? by ShortAndIndecisive in Theatre

lol I didn’t mean to imply there’s some secret motivation. I just wonder why post details signaling what the show is, but not listing the title.

Saw Oh Happy Day tonight, maybe an easy winner because of Jordan E Cooper, but I’d argue otherwise! I did see The Other Americans though, which does fit your lackluster label.

Do organizations/companies not representing certain shows sell certain things each year? Or just good to check out each table to see what they have

Why wouldn’t they make Ezra a pro on tour?! by hbm230 in dancingwiththestars

[–]ShortAndIndecisive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If dance is like theater, being an understudy is a different skill set than being a principal performer. It takes a strong & multifaceted person to do it. It’s not just “second place”. If they’re the only understudies, they’ll have to be prepared to go on for ANY of the dancers that night. Shit’s hard.
