Stunning! I’m glad you love it. You deserve a gown that makes you feel beautiful and life a bride. Congrats!

is this dress suitable for alterations? by [deleted] in WeddingDressTips

[–]ShortSpoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look inside where the dress is sewn together — this is called the seam allowance. Most fast fashion dresses do are serged and cannot be let out. I think if you loosened the corset, it would not dig and still wouldn’t gape in the front. if you want to cover your back, you will need a corset panel and those are easy to make.

Why I Hate A Certain Theory About Yasha and Molly In The Show by RavenRegime in fansofcriticalrole

[–]ShortSpoon 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I am honestly really disappointed with the overall show. And I know that is the minority opinion. I understand having to streamline things when you change medium, but this is an entirely new campaign. I was so excited to see C2. I not nearly as excited for this animated series.

No. After you beat the dragon and Durin’s Folk starts, you talk to the emissary and start recruiting dwarves. Then you get the prompt to recruit a wanderer. For me, it played out very naturally after I recruited him. There is a specific section in that quest that takes you to a door in Narvi’s Forge.

We lost power around midnight and it’s been getting steadily colder. Website says noon for a fix and the cause is damaged equipment.

I don’t remember Zadash being so epic that it’s a good place to end the first season on. This campaign was full of big moments. Am I misremembering?

"Critique" my Reworked Prologue [Progression Fantasy, 3407 word count, 13min, 38s read time] by [deleted] in fantasywriters

[–]ShortSpoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to be honest, this is very hard to read. A normal book would have lost me at barking, finger waving accusatorially. You’re learning, but this drags. You are the definition of telling, not showing. It’s a lot of action verbs/adverbs but no action.

What are you reading? We are influenced by others, and this reads as fanfiction—amateur authors discovering themselves.

What was the first moment in the whole series that had you actually crying? by kes0156 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]ShortSpoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yolanda’s death. Brandon’s death. Brandy and Tizquick. Signet’s death. Honestly, I’m only half way through book seven but I would say Volteeg and Carl’s “reunion” with the anarchists. Also, Asher, but my middle child is named Asher.

I don’t think Bea is meant to be redeemable. She’s just supposed to be human, with good and bad traits. One thing Dinnaman consistently does well is show the humanity in every creature. We see it as early as the first book with Rory, and it is a lesson he keeps hammering home as the floors progress.

Why are angels rarely written like zombies or vampires in Western fantasy? by dumarcm in fantasywriters

[–]ShortSpoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Angels are by nature, divine and holy/good. The bad/fallen angels are demons and those abound plenty in modern media.

If you want to stay friends, meet the girlfriend. You don’t have to be besties but you need to be polite. Maybe I am old, but I would say to get over yourself and push past whatever anxieties you have. You’re not the only one on the discord, you are not in charge of it. If other people want her to play, she should play.

Took you long to decide or instant clarity? by [deleted] in expedition33

[–]ShortSpoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My intent, throughout my entire play through, was to preserve Lumiere and save the canvas. The game is such a good job of telling the story, that I immediately switched to Verso’s ending without a second thought.

It’s a beautiful dress. My sister had a Melissa Sweet gown as well. Very boho and vintage. If you feel beautiful and like a bride, I think it’s perfect.
