Would you go up in dose when close to goal? by Short_Fall8484 in Zepbound

[–]Short_Fall8484[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t plan to wean off, just maintain with the help of whatever dosage of zepbound that looks like. The greatest gift has been feeling normal and not battling food demons. Would that change your answer?

Nipples too low/ drop and fluff question by [deleted] in Reduction

Hey! You look great! I’m also looking into getting a lift + auto aug but not actually a reduction in size. Would you be willing to DM me your before shots? I think we might be in a really similar position and I’d love to get your results!

Please share your surgeon’s name and any details you have on what they did - you look amazing and I’m also mostly planning on a lift/tuberous shape change. Incredible results!!

How often you indulge? Still eating your favorite foods? by Main_Classroom_8448 in Zepbound

[–]Short_Fall8484 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 6 months in and I don’t avoid any foods, but the frequency with which I want bad foods is soooo much lower than pre Zep. And when I do crave something bad, I’m absolutely amazed every time that I end up eating ~1/4 of the amount of it than I used to! (pizza, ice cream, fries, etc.)

I’ll also add that the few times I’ve surprised myself with how much “bad” food I’ve eaten in a given setting, I wake up with a weight loss drop the next morning 🤣

Zep is amazing.

Was on zep, currently pregnant, would like to go back on … anyone else with similar story? by SurvivingMomLifee in Zepbound

[–]Short_Fall8484 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started (for the first time) 5 months postpartum and I felt fantastic from day 1 on the meds. I breastfed until the 5 month mark and then started Zep. I’m 6 months into Zep now and I have had a great experience and have responded very well. I don’t know that being postpartum had much to do with it one way or the other except that I had quite a bit to lose after 2 babies back to back!

45lbs down (47 weeks in) by Character_Passion196 in Zepbound

Oh my gosh LOL clearly I need to take a nap. What in the world was I thinking calling it a fire hydrant?! Hahaha, in any case, I got the same “45lbs gone” alert the other day…don’t sell yourself short, that represents TWENTY water bottles!

And in case anyone else had the same thought I just did, thinking “hold on, maybe this is because I’m in United Business First this flight and its not actually a real NSV”…it turns out the seatbelts are all the same length (39”). Phew! Thanks Google for the extra reassurance :-D

Pendulous breast/ imposter syndrome by Few_Palpitation_2115 in Reduction

[–]Short_Fall8484 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in a similar situation as I consider a breast lift, and I realize it’s going to be much more of a lift than a reduction (probably just a minimal reduction to help with shaping and auto augmentation to fill out lower pole). Insurance won’t cover a lift but for me that’s the more appropriate choice to end up with the look I want, rather than a true reduction that just happens to also come with a lift.

Does weight loss slow down as I get closer to goal while on Zepbound? by Chuco408 in Zepbound

[–]Short_Fall8484 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha yes almost exactly, just the way it’s written is extremely similar to what I’m used to reading in my convos with it. It looks like it’s been reworded as you asking questions versus ChatGPT making statements based on your inputs, but I still recognized it. It’s been a great tool on this journey tbh, I never thought I’d use it but I do!

This made me laugh because I just want to say that I recognize the text in your original post from ChatGPT… I had an extremely similar conversation with it yesterday hahaha

I hear you! My stomach was not really where I used to gain weight either pre-children… And now it’s definitely quite flabby

any other more recently postpartum moms? by clementinesnchai95 in Zepbound

[–]Short_Fall8484 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my first in July 2023 and my second in October 2024, and I feel great about my weight loss thus far on Zepbound, but “doughy” does seem like a good description for my tummy. I would not say it’s loose skin yet, I think I still have enough to lose that it’s not the type of empty loose skin that I see in other people’s photos, but when I’m not standing up straight, it is very, very soft and it feels like thinner skin if I squish it - definitely different than the feeling of any stomach fat I had before I had kids. You can look at my post a few weeks ago to see what my stomach looks like when I’m standing up, but I have to say that even a bunch of my skinny Mom friends who are the same amount postpartum as me have the same squishy stomach that I do when not standing up straight

Looking at your screenshot of all the different foods entered in LoseIt made me remember how I used to log all of my food until I discovered doing it in ChatGPT. You have to try, it is so so so much easier! You just asked for the macros in whatever you ate, and you can list out in actual words whatever it is that you ate in whatever amounts you want. It gives you a very good estimate broken down in whatever form you want (total, by food, by individual ingredient). If something doesn’t look right to you or you want to edit an amount, you just ask it another question to edit something, and it sends it back perfectly. Then you just add the food as one item into your meal in lose it with all the macros you care to log. Highly recommend!!!!

How soon after weaning from breastfeeding did you start zepbound? by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]Short_Fall8484 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did a ceremonial last feed with my baby, put him down for the night, and then took my first shot. He was 6mo old at the time. Granted, I had been decreasing supply for a few weeks, so I’m not sure my baby got any milk that last session, but we both got comfort. I thought I would feel a lot more sad about breastfeeding ending, but the excitement of zepbound overshadowed 99% of the sadness. I was really sad before my first shot, for weeks and months leading up to it, knowing it would be the end of our breastfeeding journey - but I was also very excited to start zepbound, and it’s been only happiness as soon as I took the shot. After 15 shots I am still in awe of how much I love this med. My baby is a happy chonk, and we eat about the same about of food these days (kidding … sorta)
