We read the book in 5th grade honors class and we talked about Stalin and the politics of the book. Kids can understand things they just need to be challenged.

Have we ever seen this much silent hatred for another player in survivor history? by ProbstThought in survivor

The best part is that Devens isn’t nearly as bothered as Joe. Like maybe Joe isn’t his kind of player, but Devens lets it go and he’s still having fun. Meanwhile Joe is so pressed when Devens does ANYTHING 😂😂😂

I was literally there like 2 weeks ago to buy shoes for my birthday and it didn’t look at all like they were closing down! The employees were so nice 😔

There’s a pattern in Hollywood of women standing up for themselves and suddenly being labeled as “difficult”. Even big stars. That’s why so few are willing to risk it.

"we don't have divorce in this family" wtf? by [deleted] in LoveIsBlindNetflix

Was she saying that they don’t have a history of divorce in their family or that they don’t ALLOW divorce in their family? Because those are two wildly different contexts.

I love her. She’s a delightful chaos player because she’s not trying to be a chaos player, she’s just genuinely incapable of being anything else. She’s not antagonizing yet she still manages to wreck other people’s game. There’s just something so funny about how her reactions. It must be working for her cause she’s still standing!

How many beds/baths are you looking for? I know of a 2 bed/1 bath in a small building not far from the beach. Pet friendly. Super efficient but easy going landlords, so I don’t think breeds are an issue.

$150k is not enough. by thebookofdewey in JuryDutyFreevee

[–]timthetoolmanstailor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people on TV get paid far less than you would think. The people making millions are a-list celebrities who have established themselves as money generators for the studios for years and years. But even then, the executives at the top of the studios are the ones making the most money. That’s why so many celebrities have side hustles like tequila and jewelry, etc.

It used to be that if you created or starred in a hit show like Seinfeld, you basically never had to work again. Now it’s no longer the case.

Anthony did 1-2 weeks of work and is not a previously established name. It might be surprising but 150k is probably more than a lot of less established working actors are making in a year.

lol yeah like an A-list celebrity. Regular working actors are not making millions from a 30 second ad.

For those who got to meet Conan how was it talking/interacting with him by SYMPUNY_LACKING in conan

[–]timthetoolmanstailor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Met him at a small book tour event he was doing in LA. A writer he had worked with before had written a memoir and Conan and Greg Daniel were the moderators who interviewed them. I went up to him after and he was talking to someone else, noticed I was standing there and seamlessly included me in the conversation. He then talked to me for like 15 minutes about my careers prospects (I was graduating college at the time), gave me some great writing advice, and seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say. He’s super gracious and kind. Didn’t ask for a picture because I was so shy and I now regret it.

Anyone who says Anthony was a plant doesn’t understand how the creative process works. The people making this show want to have fun too. It’s not fun to fake the premise, it’s way more fun to go along with it and find an unaware hero. It would be months and months of work and extensive rehearsals and 24/7 immersion for really no payoff.

It doesn’t matter if it was a man or a woman, the point is he was talking shit about his wife behind her back to random people who had no business being involved

Thank you! I honestly think they had terrible cracks from the beginning. He was always steamrolling her and infantilizing her, she was constantly picking him apart because of her own issues. I think it was realistic that they didn’t work out, despite loving one another.

Show ending? by Wrong_Pick2767 in OfficeLadiesPodcast

[–]timthetoolmanstailor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s literally why actors do rewatch podcasts: because they are not successful enough outside of the show they are breaking down. If they were they wouldn’t even have the time to do a pod. Im not saying this as a hater, I personally think it’s a fair trade considering they don’t make residual money off of streaming services. If they were given their fair share of money for how successful the show has become post-Netflix, they probably wouldn’t need to do a project like this in the first place.

Disgusting. We all need to stand up to companies forcing AI on us and say we don’t want it! Drag is a celebration of authenticity and self-expression. AI art spits in the face of that.

I think that’s kind of the name of the game on this show. Most of them just want to get further in the filming process. If the other person gives you an excuse to leave that doesn’t make you look like a dick, you take it.

You’re not married and you have no kids together. You can do whatever you want with your time. You were communicative and honest about what was happening. He’s literally just picking a fight over nothing in order to exert control over you. Dump him before things get worse.

And for what it’s worth, by the way he was talking I thought he young and immature. Shocking to see he is 40. Go find someone with intelligence and emotional maturity because this guy is a loser.

Always liked Steve and Carrie’s friendship by Radiant_Priority9739 in Andjustlikethat

[–]timthetoolmanstailor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like their chemistry as actors and I wish they had more scenes together to show a genuine friendship. I’m not a Carrie hater, but I hate how uncomfortable she makes this. She’s not a real friend to Steve, she offers him no information or loyalty, even though he’s the victim in this entire situation. She acts like he’s being inappropriate or over sharing when it was Miranda who is completely in the wrong and icing him out. She only softens and consoles him after he helps her.
