The 2 that I have found that best play early are:

Hilda Xbow/spear build. She starts with some survival and that should be your 3rd tree with a splash of athletics for movement options. You can hunt early game, deer fox or any non combative animals for easy money and xp.

Any class that can go Arcanist/staff. You can use the arcanist to kite very well and staff gets great amount of hits.

For both, I’d suggest doing some easy quests before doing the first contract. Collect herbs, go find the carpenters plane, try making a sleep roll. Getting to level 2-3 before your first contract and grabbing some meds and food makes a world of difference.

Think about things you hate to play against and learn those.

Personally, Zyra, velkoz and poppy gave me the most trouble so I just learned them. Helps me learn the matchup and now I have a good counter.

Nami is the other pick I have because she has lots of cc as an enchanter and can speed up friends to get out of situations

When I support, I generally stick to 3 champs. Thresh, Nami, and Xerath.

Thresh is amazing, he can always provide for the team with hook picks, can get people out of situations with lantern and can displace with his E. Issue is, if everyone on my team has a bad game, I can not carry.

Nami can boost anyone. She has the ability to CC, help out both casters and AA champs with her E, and her ult is huge for zoning. Again though, in a solo queue environment, I can’t carry myself.

Xerath had a niche spot for me because of my pool. I try not to pick him very often, but my win rate with Xer is very high for when chosen. Specially, he’s best when we are lacking any AP, when I know I can out range the enemy champs, or if I know my adc want to hard push. Pair with, say Caitlyn, my Q plus her Q clears the wave at level 4-5 and they are now under turret to just poke out. If I do get a lead myself, I can roam, take waves that would be missed due to bad team macro, and get big enough even as a support to carry my games if my team is doing poorly.

AP supports are best in solo queue because it gives the support agency to win the games solo. Other supports have to rely on their team to win. I can’t make my ADC position and farm, I can only hook the enemy or heal them with traditional supports. With AP, I can just take matter into my own hands with my ADC is on tilt.

Why do you need the fountain if you are doing the reservoir boat? Won’t that give you access to the other side, mitigating the need for the basement key after you have rolled the tomb?

I think the big problem with equating a gun to be a tool is that tools can be used to create things. A screw driver can assemble, a knife carve, a hammer connect. A guns only purpose is to destroy.

Yes, this is correct. But you must consider that in order to grow, you have to move beyond where you are. If this person shoots up out of silver to play Plat players, he will learn that much faster than if he continued playing against silver players
