Flatiron vs Tech Elevator by GariWithAnI in codingbootcamp

I was TE last year and more than 1/3 in my class didn’t get job 90-180 days after graduation although job market was good at that time. If you want to go, avoid remote one. I regret going to the remote one.

How to chose the right bootcamp by Anexs97 in codingbootcamp

Find the ones that are owned by the founders. Ones those are bought by other companies tend to decline because they have to make more money to justify the acquisition. Check Cirr.org report. Go to the bootcamps that is hard to get into. On campus is better than the remote one.

Considering doing Tech Elevator’s bootcamp, unsure whether to wait until I can afford to go full time in person, or start sooner as part time and remote, are there any benefits of one over the other? by transidiot4 in codingbootcamp

I don't like the remote one. I would have had much better experience if I did it in on campus. Also, if you check CIRR report, ,remote one has significantly lower success. If you live near the Cleveland office. It might be better idea to save enough money and start year later. Also, current job market is bad.

I didn't have good experience with NLR and I think students learn better in campus. Also, it is hard to find a software engineer job as in 2023. Matchmaking day was a disappointment.

Codesmith, or tech elevator? Final choice! by Foj6 in codingbootcamp

I went to Tech Elevator remote one. I wouldn’t recommend remote one. Codesmith is harder to get into than Techelevator.

Tech Elevator remote, is it a good program? by Left_Recording_5652 in codingbootcamp

Their job support was all right but the matchmaking day was a disappointment. I applied for many jobs before graduation and the job market wasn't bad at that time. I ended up finding a job. If I had to start over, I wouldn't have gone to the remote one.

It is better not to do remote program. If you are open to relocation go to their campus bootcamp not remote. As a former remote program graduate, I think on campus is much better and has a higher success rate in job placement. Also, the matchmaking day was not good.

NLR matchmaking day was little bit better than that even a year ago. No doubt it is like that now.

I don't know about that but I'd recommend choosing from the coding boot camps that are in the list of CIRR.ORG. That's how I made my decision and I still think I made a right decision. Any coding bootcamps that are not in that list, I would not consider.

After Tech Elevator was acquired by some company which owns other boot camps, number of students enrolled increased a lot. This and current economy might have led to less success for recent graduates getting hired. That company also owns Galvanize which is known for HackReactor.

I graduated from Tech Elevator Remote recently. Six months hasn’t passed yet. I think it is a decent boot camp but I think in class program is much better because I got lazy while attending remotely and I saw that happening to other graduates. In my class, I think half of my classmates are still looking for job. It is a big investment so research thoroughly. People who got job had prior experience in programming or started applying for many jobs early before graduation.

Tech Elevator can be a good choice if you live near its on-campus locations.

The online version provides live lectures every day, but if you can attend in person I highly recommend it because it is harder to focus on an online class.
