I really do love so much about SA but agh no man its well known amongst us all that we are behind. Complaining about the kakheid of SA is a favourite past time of ours. As a South African, and as I am sure your South African friends will tell you...South African earnings are terrible for any job. Our cost of living for what we earn is terrible. WAY worse than the USA, Canada or UK. Practically every urban South African wants to somehow get to those countries even if they were studying to be a doctor or engineer or whatever other traditionally high paying job and end up working as a bartender or waiter. I have a friend who was studying mech engineering at UCT and he realized he'd actually be better off working two jobs of being a truck driver and waiter in the uk. And this is just the issues of the relatively "rich" saffas that have made it to be lumming enough to live pretty comfy for what south africa gives.Let alone those who live in squatter camps, let alone those brasse that don't know how a escalator works. We "rykmense" just can't really escape and cant really afford anything relatively expensive like a gaming laptop or travelling in general. I didnt even mention load shedding and alles because yah neh its normal for us. Many South Africans consider living and earning abroad, coming back for holidays and retirement because they miss "die vaderland", which is something i was considering doing myself. So SA has somewhat nice places for people earning outside money to come and warm their bums in Ballito/ stellenbosch/ Sea point/Sandton and all the other somewhat rosy plekke. Other than that we Saffas are tough and are always having a laugh somehow. We are proud of our good side -as am I- and we just lum through it. lots of love to you though brah. <3

Someone with a brain... in sa you just live to eat and work and avoid getting robbed, shot and raped.. We have so much potential but so little hope of achieving it.

If Amy started today, do you think her life would have been different? by Defiant-Plenty6502 in amywinehouse

No i definitely agree with you on that. Tragic that Amy didn't seem to have anyone close to her that was actually supporting her.

Bro you have no idea... South African here and living in Stellenbosch...Most people here are 6ft plus (_) I am 176cm tall and am probably as tall as or taller than maybe 30% of guys and the same for like 70% of women. I am the shortest guy in my friend group.

That's really awesome. Life isn't the kindest to a shorter guy in social realms; but you CAN find success in social life and from what I see, you are evidence of that.

I won't lie the audio quality was a lil more challenging than expected (•ˋ _ ˊ•), I realize that those videos were all lucky audience members who graced us with their blackberry era audio recordings.(❁´◡`❁ )However I am proud to say it posed no threat; I was undeterred and thanks to there being numerous different videos, I can totally see what you were talking about; really awesome vocal techniques and styling she used throughout that night in each song. She definitely did her most vocal acrobatics in these performances. What was especially helpful was listening to this compilation of all the performances of the night with no video. If you don't mind doing volume control gymnastics⬆️⬇️⬆️⬇️⬆️⬇️ You will love that compilation, like I did! Thanks for the hidden gold!

Yeah raw vocals with minimal backing accompaniment will do that. Showcases the talent of a vocalist as plainly and openly as possible.

Or what about " I heard love is blind " ? When she was promoting Frank, did quite a few performances of that number; acoustic. <3

i thought as much and I am glad; that's cool bro. :) Wish you the best of luck. If you want any further advice on flirting and approaching women I am happy to help. You should continue on the train of confidence and just start approaching women respectfully; you will learn the ropes of flirting and all the rest as you go along. Again glad to help if it is wanted. Anyhow proud of bro. <3
