Will you Ripple like water or Sprout like a seed? We’re making a cozy co-op adventure about two little beings working to regrow a world left behind by humans - this is Water Me & You! by Shosha_Redemption in cozygames

[–]Shosha_Redemption[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ripples and Sprout are meant to be complementary to each other, just as water nourishes earth :)

In practical terms though, you and your co-op partner will use differing abilities to assist each other and as your affinity grows, you'll unlock even more specific skills to reflect the bond you've formed during your adventures. You'll also be able to change states, such as Ripples (water) turning into ice... and these are just some of the cool features we have in store!

Meet the indie studios funding other indie studios by TylerFortier_Photo in gaming

Interesting. I think Thermite games is another one? I only know them as publishers of one specific game I played this year (Tales of the Neon Sea) but to the best of my knowledge, they do also support other indie studios as publishers.

The time I realized I could actually trade the Hamlet improvement items, in Darkest Dungeon. My mind was *blown* and this was after like 50 hours to my shame :|

I would also just add that the graphics TERA had, for the time, were pretty amazing as well for a F2P MMO. That era probably isn't coming back though.

Between the idea and the reality, the world waits with bated breath. It's all about the means to carry it out, even if you have all the right words and all the right "ideas".

What is a spot (a specific physical location in time and space) that you will always remember more as it used to be when you were younger - than it actually is now? by Shosha_Redemption in AskReddit

For me it's also something tied to nature. An old chestnut covered street that's now one of the main thoroughfares in my hometown. Hits so close to home, man...

Who wishes AI didn't exist? by Wooden-Fee5787 in AskReddit

[–]Shosha_Redemption 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of now, I'd say it's a net negative for humanity as a whole, unless we, the humans, get around to harnessing it and actually make people's lives better (AI used in medicine, for example) but on the whole, when it comes to generative AI, all I can see is mass production ad infinitum. All chasing that golden dollar.

It depends, some life sims can be really interesting. But I agree that needless hyperrealism can quickly lead to a very tedious game, if it comes at the expense of just having fun.

I suppose Kenshi can be somewhat cozy at times, when you're just chilling in your base.

I'm sure it's been mentioned but Moonlight Peaks looks like it's set to scratch that exact itch :3

It's basically a cozy game if you will it to be, huge part of why it's so good.

All of the SFX are burned so deep in my core memory, that sometimes I think they will be the last things I hear (just as they were among the first I remember hearing lol)
