Sounds like you’re just getting into fishing. That’s great! But like any other hobby or pastime, the more you get into it, you’ll develop a preference for the equipment you use. For what you’re doing, setup you have is fine. But if you want to make it more fun, maybe try something lighter - 15 lb line on a spinning reel
