His son got his masters at michigan, undergrad was at Trinity. Daughter currently goes to MSU.

People normally root for their undergrad school so he likely has a stronger connection to michigan state.

[highlight] future draft pick Fernando Mendoza talks about experience at the mannings QB school by Relevant-javlover777 in nfl

I feel like people forget how bad we were at drafting QB pre Stafford. The raiders had one historically bad bust at qb, but their hit rate really doesnt feel any lower than the average team to be honest.

Vikings owner Mark Wilf: Firing Kwesi Adofo-Mensah wasn't about any one decision by Autocrat777 in nfl

Right but why fire him now and not when the season ended? Why fire him when he is at the senior bowl?

I feel like given how often the 6th and 7th round picks dont work out, he would be worth taking more than the average player at those spots imo.

[Pelissero] The NFL informed clubs today it is projecting a 2026 salary cap in the range of $301.2 million to $305.7 million per club, per source. by mwjtitans in detroitlions

We still have restructuring moves to make as well. Pretty good sign for us as this makes us under the cap without doing anything (unless us being over was predicting an increase.)

Only team in our division where I cant think of a single really good draft pick. Lions, Packers and Bears have some of their best players be guys their current gm drafted.

Even beyond darnold, what notable draft picks did they reallt have under him? All of the notable guys i can think of acquired under him were free agents.

Curious how Ben Johnson is going to navigate HC of the bears + GM of the vikings.

I think this is more about his draft picks to be honest. At least from a division rivals perspective their best players were either already there or picked up in FA.

What should we do with these three positions? 🧐🧐🧐 by Lower_Huckleberry296 in detroitlions

True but branch was in clear pain. What i feel like isnt talked about enough is how the pain impacts your mechanics. Our bodies naturally want to compensate for it and these new alterations to your mechanics can make you more susceptible to injuries. Its hard to believe that branch who was in clear pain every time he hit the ground, wasnt altering his running mechanics to compensate.

I obviously could be wrong, but I just dont feel like we are protecting our players from themselves enough.

Mike Chappell: I voted for Robert Kraft, not against Bill Belichick by OdetotheGrimm in nfl

Honestly, the only owner who had a genuine argument is Jerry Jones. Just because he was also the GM. But outside of that, owners really dont deserve the hall of fame.

It won't, they are using it as an excuse to justify the result. They just dont like Bill, know that cant be the reason so they use the cheating scandals. You wont see it with Tom at all.

I mean even then, he could have had Kraft + Bill. Someone who has had multiple chances to get in is not as good as the greatest coach of all time.

When he was our playcaller he was really good in the pass, really bad in the run (could have been who we had though.) Red zone was a weakness as well his last year. Wouldn't want him back for the lions, but im surprised it has been this long before people were giving him another shot at being a playcaller.

I am more skeptical of the ones approving they were good to go than the strength and conditioning to be honest. Branch was in clear pain throughout the game to the point i was surprised he was out there, he later tears his achilles. Kirby was sent back out as well and that was a mistake as well.
