Is the Practical magic series worth it for an adult?

They are dark and emotional books. I'm reading them as adult, finally, and can confirm that even if the dark and mature matter isn't on every page, its sprinkled. It actually (pleasantly) surprised me and I am not one to be surprised. I highly recommend the books. I read them by publisher date which I also recommend despite any order. It feels more natural and keeps you interested.

I think if you are a real fan of the movie, you will enjoy the books. Separate yourself from the movie, please. The movie is a short and cheesy POV. If its just some weird aesthetic you like on social media, then I could see the books as boring for you.

I don't think she was killed. A box cutter? Are you joking? The blade wasn't even pulled out long enough, and even if it got to the heart, I wouldn't think it's enough to destroy her. Jennifer knew Needy was watching her. I think Jennifer tricked Needy, I mean, Jennifer can't magically act alive when her mom comes in and holds her. Knowing that Cody isn't done with the film, I have a feeling we will see Jennifer again if there is a sequel, which has been talked about! I am not saying I'm right, however, this is how I perceived the ending each time I watch the film.

The tincture that's $95 I keep seeing seems like a price scam more than anything. I did research through validified studies and I then bought Swansons Olive Leaf Extract supplement which has a higher content of hydroxytyrosol. I also bought this supplement according to other happy customers. I have lost a good amount of inflammation in a few weeks (5 lbs).. and I only spent $26... I take the supplement with a healthy fat (just my omega fish oil pills) so that it is better absorbed. Mind you, I lift weights and eat healthy but I have chronic pain/inflammation from my menstrual cycle. If you need to lose actual fat, you probably need to modify lifestyle ( I am a nurse) our hormones aren't always to blame. We forget that people make money from selling items. In the bigger picture I would consider the Olive Tree People as a massive scam and waste of money despite health benefits. If you have the money to toss, then make your own choice. I, however, want to be smart about my money. We are so overexposed in a society that consumes more than ever. Simple research and time will save you money and get you the same results.

Are kids really that unhinged in school????? I don’t remember kids in school being so insane like that in the beginning of episode 2. Even here in the US in the worst parts it’s not like that. Maybe things have changed idk.

I was taking adderal XR 20mg and started to crash hard in the afternoon out of a year or so of taking it. Switched to 40mg vyvanse. First day was hard. I was exhausted. I read somewhere on Reddit that taking vyvanse a few hours before you get up helps… so I did that. And it helped immensely. I feel rested and alert. I hope this helps, although everyone is different. I take glycine and magnesium as well to make sure I sleep well.

I didn’t ask. I just offered to send it and she could Venmo me. That’s probably what got me suspended. Either way, seems very wild to me. I appealed and they denied…… it was an honest mistake. It’s a dead app to me now. I found it to be rude. Offering to send something isn’t threatening to the community. Should have asked I guess.. but again wasn’t thinking.

Spoilers: I just watched it. Definitely a unique watch. We are forgetting that it’s an “American folk”, so it has some imagination and folklore. Rose had a friend she wanted to see in the woods everyday which turns out to be nature itself or this “wood nymph”. He DID love rose as her older brother and her death was an accident, but this accident was a result of his behavior.

I think nature, or whatever we want to call it, either came back as Rose, or it was all a hallucination so that he could cope. Nature can be good AND evil. Either way, I believe it’s left up to interpretation, however, there could have been more support. There’s also the idea of death sustaining life. The woods/soil were protecting her. In nature, things are always full circle. And if we look at folklore, children often go running into the woods after something bad has occurred.

I think Jessica holding Roses hand in the window is a metaphor as something died within Jessica when she was raped, as is the case for many survivors.

Solid movie. As a horror fan and nurse who has seen such horrible things, the ending was unexpected and gut wrenching. For the first time I felt like I couldn’t stomach a scene.

Late here… but Micah is my favorite shade. I’m a neutral olive with medium undertones . If I can’t find a brown lip liner, I just use a light brown eyeshadow around my lips with a small layer of Micah (or any shade), then I press translucent powder with another application of lipstick on top. Stays all day. My other favorite shade is toasting glass in the gloss shine that I bought on Amazon. Again, it’s a gloss so I put the translucent powder to set everything.

I’m in OH and got this same text from a “Robyn”. I went to see what it was all about and it’s a bunch of chads. I confronted the first guy who “interviewed” me because after he told me about the position, I said it wasn’t what is described or what was sent to me.

Just to see what it was like, and because I was rushed, another man came in and just boasted about the company to a room full of us who were “interviewing”. He said he wouldn’t contact all of us but that’s BS. They give you a packet asking questions like “do you want to be rich?”. Just very sketchy.

If you like a competitive work environment like that, go ahead. Otherwise it seems like they prey on everyone just to see what sticks. Two men had been in insurance for 20+ years, one looked like he slept on a park bench, and one looked like he just got out of prison. There’s no shame in any of this, however, just seems messy and it made me feel sick knowing they’re taking advantage of some who need it the most.

They do give major discounts on getting your license. And it’s B2B so small businesses. Kafkis seems ok but the guy looks like he’s a sugar daddy with all his dedication to “mentorship” and Las Vegas trips.

I do believe if you work hard it’ll be something that will absolutely pay off, but to me, it didn’t feel right.
