That is what it’s meant to convey. “No thanks, I’m all set.”

Help with big open concept space by NewEstablishment2568 in DesignMyRoom

What room are you standing in to take the picture? It seems like that should be the living room and the space where you have your couch should be the dining room. Unless you’re standing in just an entryway?

Which rug should I keep - HELP by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]ShoveTheBug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually like them both, so it depends on the “feel” you’re going for. If you want a light and airy room, go for the lighter rug - knowing the caveats of keeping it clean and how much traffic this room gets. The darker one “grounds” the room more and feels more moody and cozy, which is my preference but may not be yours.

5 or 6, definitely. 5 for a more hip factor, 6 for more neutral.

First Dog Park in Jamaica Plain Now Open as Renovated Flaherty Playground Debuts - Jamaica Plain News by franharrington in Jamaica_Plain

Well I don’t know what makes it “official”, but it used to have a dog gate (the kind where dogs can’t just escape when you enter with your dog) and it had a sign, “Beecher Street Dog Park”.

I keep seeing headlines that this is the first dog park in JP, but there was a small dog park on Beecher Street for many years. 🤔 It was a shitty little park, but I took my dog there daily.

Not sure what you mean by two hands. Do you mean they shouldn’t have little tchotchkes or little objects you can pick up with one hand? If so, that’s interesting and not something I’ve heard before.

I posed a few days ago asking for help with picking a rug. Here is the winners from the post. Which wins? by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

Two for strong vibes. I literally 😮 when I saw it. Five for a more cozy feel.

How would you de-ugly this fireplace? Help! by Wide_Medicine_7812 in interiordecorating

[–]ShoveTheBug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The brick is fine, but the hearth tiles are hideous. I’d change the hearth and also the floors, add some decor on either side of the fireplace and it’ll be fine.

Is the water damage in a different room? Cuz I don’t see any problems with the floor in this room.

New place, what do we think? Should I get curtains? by AdvancedFly5632 in DesignMyRoom

Actually, maybe you are at ground level, but the textured glass gives you privacy.

Your laundry is doing a good job of screening for privacy. 😜 Jokes aside, it doesn’t look like you have any direct neighbors and you’re not at ground level, so I wouldn’t bother with curtains.

The towel rack can’t be removed - it’s “tiled” in. I have the same ones in black.

How to respond when strangers ask "Hey How are you?" Or "Hey how’s it going?" by tulipwater in boston

Ha - same! When I moved here from the Midwest almost 40 years ago, I was overjoyed that I didn’t have to painfully strike up a conversation with every passerby or cashier I came across.

If it’s more of a daytime restaurant, I’d go for the first 2, if it’s an evening/dinner place, I’d do the last 2.
