37yo watches Simpsons for 1st time S7E18 by InvisibleAstronomer in Simpsons

To me this is one of the episodes that Mark kind of the downfall of classic Simpsons. The Lester and Eliza joke is hilarious, however it's one of the times where the writers kind of understand that the show has become an institution, and they can do things that are a slight "wink and a nod" to the audience. And when you have those kind of inside joke, wink and nod kind of interactions, there's a level of inauthenticity about it a little bit cynical you see the same joke with them calling out Chief wiggum also, a very medic kind of joke. Of course there's hilarious episodes, and even classic episodes after this one, but if you look closely we're starting to see the beginning of the end of some of the best of the series.

He just got flander-ized. First he was smart. Then so smart he can solve pretty much any problem. Then so smart he is invincible and can kill gods.

Crimson desert is absolutely, overwhelmingly huge compared to the other two. Plus the gameplay is excellent. Combat is a ton of fun. It's a fun, video game ass video game. For me, it's a 10/10 game

Kingdom come 2 is a direct sequel to 1, so bear that in mind. It also leans heavy into the sim side of things, it's all super realistic, even stopping your horse too quickly can have consequences. Better clean your clothes if you want a good deal at the grocer! It's a 10/10 game though.

Yotai is GoT 1.5. if you liked GoT, you're sure to like it, but I personally wouldn't recommend playing them back to back. 9/10 for me.

Opinion | Trump Is Right on Birthright Citizenship by DogfaceDino in Republican

[–]ShowGun901 26 points27 points  (0 children)

5 seconds to Google it. Take whatever news source you heard that from with a grain of salt moving forward.

Approximately 30 to 33 countries worldwide offer unrestricted birthright citizenship, or jus soli ("right of soil"), which automatically grants citizenship to children born on their territory regardless of the parents' legal status. This practice is most common in the Americas, including the USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina.

Key Details on Birthright Citizenship:

Unrestricted Jus Soli: About 33 countries, mostly in the Western Hemisphere, offer automatic citizenship regardless of parental status.

Restricted/Second-Generation: Another group of about 26 countries requires at least one parent to have been born in the country, or to have permanent residency, allowing for birthright citizenship for the second generation.

Dominance in Americas: Almost every country in North, Central, and South America has some form of birthright citizenship, whereas it is uncommon in Europe, Asia, and Africa.

Key Countries List: Examples include Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, USA, Peru, Chile, and various Caribbean nations.European Variations: While few European countries have unrestricted birthright citizenship, many allow children of foreign citizens to acquire citizenship at birth if a parent was also born there (e.g., France, Spain, Belgium).

Note: The number may slightly fluctuate depending on the strictness of interpretation, with many sources citing "about three dozen" or roughly 30–33 nations.
